Ah yes... this again.  You do realize that Aion will be shipping with much more end game PvE content then WoW did, right?  Not to mention a much better crafting system.

To Leucrotta: While the Baldur do add a small twist on the Abyss RvR... it's not even close to being a substitute for a 3rd player faction.

Bioware did not make Knights of the old Republic 2.

For me its just a time killer until Dragon Age (especially after the delay to November) arrives and until Star Wars: The Old Republic arrives.

I wish Aion the best of luck, and pray that it has more than it promises, but long term potential? I doubt it.

ps: sorry for the rather pessimistic thread, but aoc taught me not to sell my soul.

Funny all I see are people that made 1-10 posts in a lifetime saying that Aion will fail, and talking about the future of a game that is still in Beta is kinda ignorant. So just go and read a book insted of making accounts to flame and troll Aion. No one care what you think since you dont have any expertise to back it up. And they should have a grownup forum for people NOT whining about that they bought a game, and then keeps whining to the end of time because they spent 50-70 dollars. And also crying all the way from the store and back home.

Wait and see and keep playing Tetris or some other free game online so you dont have to whine here. And this is not just to the OP but to the rest of the whining people on this forum. Which I am getting really tierd of.

I would have to say i have played many games and I have never seen a game this well made I mean you can see the time and money they put into this game. I mean WoW is just trying to noob up there game now so that they can get new people playing i mean level 20 riding mounts come on you can tell they know that a storm is coming and the are trying to keep WoW in the game Both games will in the end servive. So Aion will not take out Wow and WoW would not take out Aion.

Reason i'll cancel is that the put in the best pvp gear and weapons in an instance doesnt matter its an pvpve instance. I hate instanced pvp (got fed up after 1 year of arena), for me it show's (they might still change tho) that they are leaning towards adding more instanced pvp. Since i allways try (allways succeded so far) to get the best pvp gear (if its a geardependent game) to be on par with the other's.

*hold's thumbs MO will be allright* until then eve got my attention abit longer :)

The best pvp gear (at least armor/accesory wise) keeps being the abyss one, stacking pvp defense is still the way to go.

Heroic weapons will be more wanted, but PvE weapons were already wanted in 1.2 because of the extendable functions, which cant be seen in abyss ones.

Aion is already a success it has almost 4 million subs in Asia.  What it does NA and Europe is just gravey.

Is Aion going to have 2-3 million subs in NA probably not but you never know it has the potential to grow if the end game is fun.  I do not see a problem with getting 500k which will put in behind WoW in 2nd place in NA.

All the recent NA MMO's fail because they had a piss poor end game, and such blazing fast leveling that you got to the lack of an end game mostly before your 30days are up.  Easy mode games will never keep subs, there is already a game that is way better at easy mode and it is called WoW.  Why would you play a game that is worse, bugged filled, unpolished verision of it.

Aion is polished, as bug free as you are going to get, graphically good, and has some things such as flying, the pve/pvp twist, interesting combat with chains and movement bonus's, it does enough slightly different for me to want play, how long I will play will depend on how fun the pvp is.

Waiting for a good PVP MMO.....Still waiting...Bueller?...Bueller?

To the Op!

Aion has already got more subs in the east than most western MMORPG's.

It might not do as well in the western market but it's far to late for the 'THIS GAME WILL FAIL POST'

This game has done very well and continues to do so in Asia. It has a large following there. For that reason alone, I think it will continue to do well with new added content.

I "think" you're way off....actually I can do more than think about it since I am already in the end game on C-AION.

For U.S. it will be "the" PVP MMO for at least a time.

I played AoC

I played WAR

I am currently playing AION and it really has none of the game breaking issues those other 2 games had.

exactly! word of opinion and hell im using that right now.

in ~6 months ill revive this thread and laugh at the people who claimed aion would become a huge success.

im all for aion proving me wrong tho - wow needs competition and needs to die fast. its vastly outdated and bores me insanely.

Dear Bioware give us Star Wars: TOR, fast!

WoW: retired hardcore mage (bored)
WAR: retired (not fun)
AOC: retired (fail game is obvious fail game)
Aion: gonna play until Star Wars: TOR arrives

Ya Wow tops aion lol I mean in Wow you can get to level 80 in a week with recruit a friend (That sounds fun right). I mean Wow has raids that can be done with pug groups easy and you can get T8 in a week. What a Fun game lol in the end Aion is a all around better made game unlike WoW where noobs will be noobs and get T8 without even Trying.

The sad truth is that most evil is done by people who never make up their minds to be good or evil.

Eh, shouldn't compare to AoC or WAR, completely different games.. Maybe compare to Requiem Bloody Mare, or some other title like that.

So you're saying that Aion is going to launch with 5 years under it's belt? Are you confused? I think so.

Okay  well you are saying that the older the game the long it will last witch is wrong in the gaming world where newer and better things come out all of the time and the older things die out. The only  reason WoW has lasted this long is because of game trying to rush out on to the market witch then makes a game with lot of things wrong with it. I mean Aion has had weeks of beta testing and also has been out in other places where it has gotten most of it things that were wrong with it taken care of making it a over all better game.

I'm saying that WoW has been made easier over the years to keep  players coming back and get them to the end game. Even EQ2 has done this.. These guys are in it for the money, not making a title that's for all the self proclamed bad ass motherf**kers out there.

Ye well think most people who will sub Aion share that motive.

Aion, AoC, AC, AO, DAoC, DDO, Entropy, Eve, Eq2, GW, MW3, L1, L2, RF, SWG, TR, UO, WOW, WAR

Star Wars is still over a year off.  There really is no good competition for AION in the near future.  They have time to develop the game and improve it.

So you dont like Aion but want it to do well so it will kill a game you dislike more? You take the term "hater" to  a whole new level.

It has to be true, i have internet links.

I agree with all you said BUT just pointing out it's not just the US market they are bringing Aion too ;) It's coming to the United States of Europe too you know! lol. Technically they are bringing the game to a Western audience.
