The prince of darkness will sing a jolly jig at blizzon con on Aug 22nd.

I think we found the reason for the pay-per-view .. Ozzy wont be cheap.

Is it best  to hype an aging game by employing an aging singer? I know that blizz has a lot of games out there and a lot of new ones in the pipe, but still.

Yeah because the Blizzcon is all about WoW ...

I mean Blizzard never did a game before and will never do one again in the future, right?

I think its brilliant.   Ozzy, through his music and reality show has remained relevent.   His WoW spot was very popular.     He is undead!

Just because Ozzy is old doesn't mean his music sucks... and I think its fitting.. Blizzard of OZ... Blizzcon...

I'm such a huge fan of the Ozzy ad I'm hoping he pops up in a cameo for the movie! As his avatar of course, not himself lol!

The reason for the pay per view is the same as it was last year. Blizzards greed.

Blizzcon tickets cost 125$, they where bought up in 8 minutes. If people pay this price then it just shows nothing seems to be wrong with it. Calling a company greedy is somewhat funny :S.

Ozzy would be the only reason I'd go, to be honest.

I worked the last Ozzy show when he was here. Half his monitors we're synthisizers, the rest regular shit, he also had a kareoke screen infront of him showing his lyrics to him and he stood in one spot all night in a track suit doing weird workout moves. Haha

anyways it's still Ozzy! \m/

I saw Ozzy in the front row in Providence RI around 1986 (Ultimate Sin tour). He was old back then, can he even sing anymore?

The show was great, but that was 20 some odd years ago :p

It's official, Blizzard has too much money.

The Ozzy spot was great. He was very funny. I also liked his show on TV. Ozzy's music was before my time but he is a good person to close out Blizzcon.

Better than having William Shatner or Mr. T sing.

I didnt say that.. OP said Ozzy was the reason for the pay per view. Was Ozzy at Blizzcon last year? Any excuse is a good one to some people. I thnk the headliner last year was a polar bear mount.

Nope ozzy wasn't at blizzcon last year but they had some awesome comedians, they had the PPV thing last year too, this year it should be better, they set this up because too many want to go to blizzcon and there isn't enough room.   I decided to stay home this year, even though blizzcon will be even bigger.

It was fun as hell the last 2 times i went though.

Even in his prime it was never about his voice.

Yes, he can. It's amazing really. You see him shambling about and mumbling everything normally, but when he gets on stage and that mic is in front of him, he's 20 years younger and his voice is clear and strong.
