I've been playing NWN2. Although I didn't enjoy the game as much as the original, there are some incredible mods, that MUST be played. (if you enjoy the NWN system). I've been getting back into offline PC games, although it seems to be harder to find RPGs. Maybe its just me

Doom 3 and expansion The Thing (gosh that is a kick-a$$ game) Guild Wars Trilogy however I preferplaying mmorpgs (F2P at the moment...too poor to afford P2P :( )

Your shield can be damaged and even knocked out of your hand. Then you'll need to just use your weapon to parry and block with. Much moe difficult until you get the hang of it. All in all Mount and Blade is a great game, I just really wish we had a world like the one in Oblivian to explore or better yet a huge MMORPG made using this combat system. I'd play no other game if it was done right and I'd pay $25 or more to play it a month if it was good. Have to be a sandbox game. Lots of places to explore. Dongeons to crawl. Ruins to find. Treasure to be had. If I only had like 100 million I'd make that game!

Battle for Wesnoth City of Heroes short bursts of other MMORPGs Really wanted to like Mount and Blade. I can't stand the controls though. They should let you drive your character with the keys and move the weapon with your mouse. Changing the function between foot and mounted is unacceptably bad design for me as well. If they would let you remap key function that would fix a lot of the problems for me. I see too much consol influence in the current set up though. |
