Well i assume it will work just like any other buff, you log out and when you log back in your buff still stands, so yeah i would say you come back exactly how you left.

yep, before you go out and get the upteen millionth boar liver of your MMO career, you may need to go and help boot the opposing faction out of your lands...
/gasp
I'm curious, everyone keeps saying a bunch of level 30s ganking 20s (or some such), does the home faction have no level 30s? Can't some higher level characters come back and help remove said gankers from thier own land? |

This may have been answered already but how does the system work if 2+ players (lets say they are grouped) gang up on one. Do both players receive the penalty? Or just the one that landed the killing blow.? |

The argument comes from that Elyos becomes capped level before Asmo because of the way start point quests are faster than for Asmo. So while Asmo can get capped levels sure, there's a gap in time between the 2 factions reaching max level. Also wanted to point out the main reason for the ganking is because of boredom due to reaching capped level (for the beta event). Guess they should have rolled Asmo instead /shrug.

Not sure i completely understand, but essentially its going to take one faction slightly longer to cap at a level than the other.. Once the game is live, after lets say a week (max) this should no longer be an issue. The problem (as i see it) is people coming to help take out the opposing faction.
If thats the case, and forgive me if I am wrong, but if folks put half the effort into removing said gankers, as they put into complaining about it, the issue might resolve itself. |

Yes, to your whole post yes. The difference might be that "week" depending on the consistency of griefers, but yeah shouldn't be much more than a week. Since it's really only near the starting areas and once you get to the 25-30 point you are off and exploring things your own level and real pvp becomes a way of life. But I don't think factions(success) are dictated by starting points, and I surely don't care to roll an undesired faction based on level speed, but dictated by end game and high level areas.

BUT - that being said. I am afraid I have to come back with "then this isn't the game for you".... the same way people try to enjoy EVE Online but hate having their ship blown up because they feel its "too hardcore". Fact is, people who play EVE - absolutely love it. Love how harsh the penalties are for dying, etc...
So, even though you are very right - we can't forget what this game is MEANT to be... and NCSoft can't cater to everyone. I agree with what your saying, but there's nothing wrong with just simply stating "this game isn't for me" and leave it at that.
And whats wrong with opening a rift free server? If the people this game "isn't for" leave anyway because of the ganking. It's not like the gankers will be missing out. So no skin of their noses. I see no reason why NCSoft should sacrifice losing it's PvErs and Normal PvPers to pander to a minority group who wan't to kill players who are as about as challenging as grey mobs due to the level system. I believe it's only a matter of time such a server will become available.
Yep - again I agree with you fully. It would be "nice" to have a PVE server where there was no rifts and it was more "PVE friendly"...
but, also keep in mind, this game is in the beta stages... and they are working very hard to try and make a very polished product for launch. The issue here is, if they dedicate resources and time into creating a server for this group of people, they take away from other parts of the game that they deem to be more important.
Im certainly not opposed to your idea... and within 3 months or so I'd expect that to happen to be honest... right now though - it seems like it'd be pushing it with only 5 weeks away from launch.
There are also the infiltration missions. I believe that Aion was designed from the ground up to be a pvp game. Taking out rifts, infiltration missions, and non abyss pvp will only extend a solid pve ers experience for a very short time. All of the main objectives are in a pvp area. The end game of Aion heavily involves pvp. |

Your rant is well taken, but your title is offensive, impudent, and childish. |
