I think both the Box and Digital CE are worth it.
I want the out of game stuff just as much as I want the in-game stuff.
 

Does the CE edition get the normal edition stuff to?  Like the Hat or exp talisman..etc?  Either way the way I look at it the million or so kinah saved for the wings aswell as the 1 week bonus time is worth the extra $10 bucks to order through Steam.  7 extra days is roughly $3.75 on its own so the difference being 6 bucks come on its a no brainer imo.  Would much rather save the time in game having to farm for the lvl 30 wings or spend the cash on crafting etc.  6 bucks is nothing imo a quick meal at MCd's or the King for one person costs every bit of that.

Keep in mind that this in game stuff is for every character you make on the account so its worth alot more then the 1million Kinah to a lot of rerollers.

i guess it depends on what u have to do with ur money. im a student and i really have nothing else to do with my money so i boutght the CE. its not that hard to save up another $20 when u dont have to worry about buying anything..

Pretty sure the boxed copies are sold out everywhere. You can only get the digital version online now..

no aion is worth buying ,it is worth the monthly fee but nothing else

Aion is well worth buying but dont waste your money on the digital CE edition, there is nothing worth paying for the wings upgrade is for your LVL 30 wings and you wont use them past 40. the rest is not worth any real money IMO

  For the few extra dollars its a great deal.  I always go with collectors when possible.  Kinda nice to have the extra goodies.

   Worst case is that you sell it  (unused) a year down the road.

I usually think that way too. But aion is a special occasion for me this time I guess. I've been in MMO limbo for a few years now and finally I am commited into giving aion a good run for it's money. So the few hundred dollars I won gambling a couple weeks ago deffinently makes it worth it this time XD

Anyone know if you can upgrade from a regular pre order to CE if were talking digital download from NCSoft store? I'm on the site but cant seem to find it.

Wings save you 1,000,000 Kinah.

Certainly an attainable goal just through standard gameplay, but it is an big ouch at level 30. I have better uses for that at money at 30 than wings.

That is a pretty good reason given they give an actual in-game benefit that can be an actual combat advantage over someone with a regular edition. If you can fly 10 seconds longer with CE wings, that's a pretty big help in getting away from mobs, enemies or something. Ten seconds of on-game time is a pretty long time (think of a spell you cast that takes 10 seconds) in a PvP battle.

It also helps because saving that 1 million on the wings can allow you to buy a better weapon or piece of gear; so not only do you stay aloft longer than someone else, you're potentially stronger because you saved in-game money and bought that.

So, it is not a one time use thing. Every character that you create on your account will get the extra items.  That is a crap load of kinah... So yeah, it is really up to you.
