hey i was woundering what faction u guys going to choose!!?

Tough call for me.

After trying both, I like the Asmodian lands and capitol city better. However, Asmodian levels more slowly (significantly larger travel time related time sinks if you do the quests). So, the PvP advantage on new servers will likely go to Elyos, as they will probably be able to send parties of greifers through the rifts earlier than the Asmodians.

Asmo. I don't care if it takes me 1 extra day to level based on running around. I'm more comfortable with darker more evil races/factions.

Going Asmodian.

Edit: Was going to go Elyos because The Remnant was going to be a Elyos only Legion, but has since opened a Asmodian division. I perfered the Asmo, so that is the side I'm playing on.

Legion > the side you play on.

 Going Elyos mostly because most say they are going Asmodian.

Since most people will probably go Asmo, I'll probably go Elyos. I tried both last beta and couldn't really pick one over the other based on visuals and quest layouts - both had equal strengths and weaknesses to me. I did get the impression that there were more people on the Asmo side, so since I like to go with the underdog, I'll try Elyos first.

i think i'll go Asmodian just for the fact that i like the idea of a race struggling for survival and the living in the dark, NCsoft don't let me down like Blizzard (WoW) did, and hope no kids who cant play the game follow ><

So, it seems everyone is going Elyos, so I'll be going Asmo on that argument atm.

Asmo. Like them hairy backs.

I'll say the Asmodians as well. I like their tails/manes, dark wings, character customisation options and colors, and their side of the story. Their looks simply fall in my taste better than the Elyos. Also I detest arrogance, and since that's what most Elyos has become the choice of alliance really turned out to be easy for me - for once. :P

I just got drawn into the hype of this game, and upon visiting Aion's website, i noticed that there is a third class, the Balaur. How come nobody on here is choosing this faction? Is there something that I don't know about?

Haha and I just found it funny how peoples' motivation for choosing a faction is choosing the one that nobody else is choosing. If that's the case, how come no one on here proposed to Balaur yet? If there is nothing negative about them, I'll choose this faction :D.

Edit: Whoops I just did mor research on the Powerwiki and figured out that Balaur is not playable. What are they then? How come they're listed as a 3rd faction on the websites?

yea well ... The Balaur is those you will be fightning in PvE dungeons and such ..

actually it seemed like every english speaker on the chinese servers played Elyos for some reason. have  to see at launch to see how it goes tho.i was asmo orginially played 3 classes to mid 20s deleted and rerolled Elyos  becaus ethere wasn't any asmo to interact with.

i will be playing Asmodian tho, Elyos armor just looks too plain and shitty.

asmo. although most ppl are saying theyre gunna go asmo, the siel beta server wreaks with elyos everywhere. its probably because the elyos had a head start to level 20 during elyos only beta... which is kind of dumb because knowing what to do on elyos isnt gunna help when the game comes out and u'll be playing asmo..

I actually prefer the look and area of the Asmo, but I can't bring myself to play on the most popular faction. To tell the truth, though, I didn't see a difference in population between asmo or elyos when I was in the beta and played both sides, so who knows? Maybe I'll just stick with Asmo. ...I'm so conflicted...

I played both factions on CB5 last weekend.  Split the time 50/50 between the two and have to say I enjoyed the Elyos MUCH more.  Found the people much more friendly over there than on Asmodian.  That's my main reason for going Elyos.

yeah i prefer the underdog in pvp games (underdog always meaning less populated) but pretty much had to switch to elyos. its a group game after all and i don't tlike soloing even tho i could.i would get group invites and we'd just link the quests we're on but sucked not being able to talk to each other. but i have friends taht are going to play at launch for US. but like i said it seems more taht Elyos will be the higher populated side, even tho this poll says other wise. was just my experience from the chinese servers.
