9.8.07

Blizzard's BlizzCon 2009 (August 21-22, 2009, Anaheim Convention Center, Calif) on May 30, 2009 sold out their second allotment of 20,000 tickets at us$125 each.

The que filled up in 20 seconds with about 1800 and by the time those orders were processed 8 minutes later all tickets were gone. ref

ps. Aug 20 is also the last day M$ will make available the disk image of the Release Candidate (RC) of Windows 7 (W7).
On March 10, 2010, any computer with the RC installed will begin shutting down every two hours. On June 1, those computers will not start up at all. So, have a migration plan in mind for your evaluation machine as the expiration date approaches.

Heh, I can't belive people be willing to pay that much to see a developer throw their stuff in people's faces. Blizzard is good, but not that good.

i don't see how its any different than going to see a band live.  its a big event, lots of fun, and the costume contest is great.  I would never go there, but thats just me.  So try to understand people, its a fun event so if people enjoy it just let them.
