Lord of the rings online is from what i know so far a realy good game ,  i have reached lvl 44 so far , and are now woundering a couple of questions.

First off , Falmers and people that dont know what they are talking about or just post a reply to get a angry respons , dont post in this thread.

I ask ingame about Endgame and its raid content , and dont realy get any answaers

I know for fact that it contains sevral raid instaces , but what i wounder is that just a side doing at engame or is that what the endgame is.

In WOW , the way to lvl 80 is just a way , and the game starts at lvl 80 acording to me.

What can i expect at lvl 60 in LOTRO ?

The game definitely does not start at level 60 in Lotro. It starts at 1, and who knows where it will end? The best way is to play in a way that you take your time, so you won't run ahead of the expansions too much. Thus said, the game caters to casual players nicely because of that.

it is not a raid game, and not an "engame" game by any means. There are options for that, but not too many.

Copied from Papadam's post in the 6th thread on this page..

Quote:

In therms of end-game instances there are currently:

7x 6-man instances (+1 for battle of Lorien)

2x 3-man instances

2x 12-man lair raids

1x 12-man multi-boss raid

6x solo instances

Then add all the epic quests and stuff and you have LotrOs end-game. If you are not a 24/7 hardcore player then ther is more than enough end-game content.

end Quote.

Maybe we should sticky this I swear we get this question at least once a week.

More will also undoubtedly be patched in by the time you hit 60 if you are just starting now.

All that said, if you rush through to the endgame you will very much miss the point of LoTRO.  IMO the best content is the game is encountered as you level, and experiencing the story lines that emerge from different quest chains.  You'll also really be missing out of you skip all the group quests and book quests on your way up.

I don't want to write this, and you don't want to read it. But now it's too late for both of us.

Don't forget Helegrod!

Adding to that list 1 x 24-man multi boss raid.

Thanks Yeebo, now I dont need to quote myself :P

Helegrod 24-man and the Rift 12-man is  lvl 50 raids.

If WoW = The Beatles
and WAR = Led Zeppelin
Then LotrO = Pink Floyd

If you haven't started yet I would strongly advise working on your legendary traits as well.  Most of them are nice to have at any point but once you get to end game some will even expect you to have those.  Besides some of them really kick ass anyways so regardless if people you group with expect you to have those or not they really do make a difference.

Some of them anyways...

The others already covered what is available at end game so didn't really see a reason to repeat what was already said.  Although i will added doing both Volume 1 and 2 Epic book quests is rather fun to do as well.  I had Volume 1 and all of 2 except for Book 8 done well before I ever reached lvl 60 but seems a lot of others don't bother.  So I suppose if you haven't messed with those much before hand you could always work on those as well.

In book 8 they will add another 3-4 instances, and on book 9 a new game mode will be added Skirmish (working title), where players will be able to group with npcs to fight trought waves of enemies and defend some vital locations. The instances of Skirmish will self adapt to the player level and number of players in the fellowship/group.

Book 8 came out weeks ago my friend.  The 2 3-mans are challenging, as is the new 6-man.  The new 12 multi-boss raid is a stiff challenge as well... You need at least 65 radiance and lucky enough to find a good group or be in a good raiding kin.  I've seen every boss except for one and while fun I don't know yet if it has the lasting power that the Rift did at lvl 60.

Boy you aren't kidding, first time I tried Hall of Mirrors it went horribly wrong.  Heh...course we tried doing it with two minstrels and a burglar.  Not the wisest combo for that place hehe.

They are a lot of fun though but they're definitely a bit more challenging than a lot of the other content in the game which I think caught some people off balance.

Yeah you need a good group to be able to do the 3-mans.  Minnie, minnie, burg is a good group in theory but you need 1 minnie in warspeech all the time (full warrior skald build!) and the other minnie in warspeech sometimes.  If you're lacking radiance gear and are a bit squishy that will hurt as well.  There's strategy to be learned for most of the bosses and lots of the trash as well but once that is down you can farm the instances.
