If you're tired of the fantasy setting then that alone is a reason to play. If you like crafting, FPS combat, a game that has no set classes then this game if for you. I'm playing at launch for sure, I think the people that say the game runs like a slideshow are making things to be worse than they really are.

I have a feeling that the people most qualified to tell you if the game is worth playing are under NDA.
So it's really a dumb question to ask. Mne eto nado kak zuby v zadnitse. |

I tried it, didn't really like it a ton, Well developed game, but I found the controls to be somewhat rough feeling. And besides that I am one of the ones who hated Fallout 3 >.> This just is nearly identical ___________________________________ |

Its an interesting game. Reminds me of SWG Pre NGE, except of course the setting and layout of the game world is pretty different. It's set to release in about a month and I think it'll be relatively complete and bug free. Non linear advancement, in depth crafting, FPS style "twitch" combat, decent pvp and pve.
Of course I gained all of the above info from the FE website and forums, and not from playing the beta - that would mean I was breaking the NDA. |
It didn't run like a slideshow, but it did run real terrible for what the game looks like / my specs. I personally couldn't get passed the bugs in the beta when I tried. Maybe if they fixed them I'd be interesting, but some of the setting seemed pretty boring. It was a really "normal" post-apocalyptic setting from what I saw, nothing too interesting.

Terrible lag in towns, awful texturing, very quest-driven with pretty boring content. The combat is clunky. The crafting might be its only redeeming feature, even though that's not without flaws and it doesn't justify a subscription fee alone. The only people who will play this will be the diehards who have been following it for sometime and are determined to see its good points. Mainly the post-apocalyptic setting. I'm looking to Earthrise now. Playing: Eve, Fallen Earth, Entropia. Trying D&D Online |

Reason why you don´t want to play you want a futuristic setting with polished armor and weapons and the latest most advanced graphic engine to make that post-apocalyptic world look pretty and sparkling filled with beauty there are other games. The world is filled with mutants, but the gear you get and the world itself is pretty much like if Earth year 2009 went to hell. If you like to grind mobs to get rich and get rare drops this isn´t your game, no such thing as money or green/blue/purple drops from mobs here. If you want a small and comfy world, this isn´t your game. In many ways it is the complete opposite of lineage 2, if you like lineage 2 this isn´t your game, FE is too "American". If you want to finish all quests, get all AP, max all your skills and get the best equipment / weapons whatever in less than 3 months this isn´t your game. It isn´t open beta yet due to stress testing is still going on, and performance on server side is the biggest consern but the improvments are ongoing so I am optimistic and it is playable. Anyway it shouldn´t be any problem to get into beta testing so you can see for yourself before you spend money, you really need to get a mount and encounter the first ranged mobs to get a feel for the game. The mobs in the tutorial and the lvl 1-5 mobs doesn´t do the NPC AI justice, ranged mobs are a complete different ball game. |
