Then just don't do it, but I have an exclusive info for you: nobody here cares. Nobody on the official forums, where you posted a similar whine, cares either, btw. As I already said several times, unlike "other" games where the devs clearly lied big time about imaginary features, here, the devs have been completely honest and warned that the early beta would be rough. Nobody forced anyone to buy, and before you bought, you had a big page which warned about the status of the beta. Still waiting for the real UO successor... |

MO isn't an Indie-studio, you should read up on what the term really mean. I just recently bought stocks in StarVault, they would NEVER be allowed on the stock exchange if they were not a serious company. I carefully looked true their numbers before deciding to buy. These guys got money... Nither is this game waporware, it's for real! |

Actually Star Vault is the Game Studio, MO is the game. You should choose your words carefully if you're going to be a snot.
An independant Game Company is a game company without a game publisher backing them up. I can't seem to find the name of a game publisher publishing this game. Star Vault is publishing themselves. That makes them an independant game studio.
Other than that, you're spot on. SV is a real company, they aren't fly by night, and are miles ahead of AV and Tassos' back yard operation. |

Genleo, your a troll. You started your stupidity crusade a year ago when you thought AoC would be a success. AoC is a prime example of a game developed by supposed knowledgeable folks, folks with manpower, but tanked, and tanked well; sever mergers, developers bailing, and Funcom begging for people to return.
Maybe in the future Funcom will produce a better game, and you'll find that chromosome your missing, but SV hasn't done anything to warrant concern that is not unlike other established developers yet.

How many wow clones are out there, loads.Darkfall, although with all its problems was a breath of fresh air for people that wanted worthwhile pvp and a change from the norm.Me personally i couldnt give two fucks about killing ten boars for a quest and moving on to the next mindless bullshit quest. I have played many mmos since pre-cu starwars (inc wow) and nothing came close to the buzz you got from the pvp in darkfall(swg pre-cu maybe:)),but thats my personal opinion.I have been playing aion for the last few weeks,(chineese release with english language pack)i thought it might offer something new ,how wrong was i total wank in every way.0-25 total mindless boredom as usual then to top it off at 25 you get to go into the abyss wahooooo its warhammer with fairies and ghay pvp. We need independent companies to think out side the box and make mmos different from the normal wow clone shite.I brought Darkfall and although i dont play anymore it was money well spent.I have payed for Mo and im sure it will be worth it but you know what,i would rather pay my cash to a company thats trying something new than to pay for yet another crap clone. |

I still can't understand putting money down on such an untested game/product/company.
This seems less wise than gambling, and that is just throwing your money away.
A well known company that has released games before, at least stands a very good chance of releasing a function product to spend money on for a beta. Games such as this...I dunno. |

The only thing they're saying will be in the game at launch is core features. Core features: That's what they say will be in at release. Sounds more like someone couldn't afford the box and is upset. |

Swanea, you’re as much an adolescent half-wit that supports an established development team with supposed talent which does nothing but release a ¼ baked game like WAR with so much redundancy and content-less game-play that it’ll make you go mad. You supported that, by a well known company that has developed games before, a game with comments from you like “Blows any game out right now, out of the water. Its so awesome.” Ohh…such a blonde girl-ish thing to say about a product which took a huge nose-dive after 2-months, with that dev-team scrambling to justify their experiment and some leaving on the heels of empty servers. Many will gladly give an indie development team that pushes development with the support and direction of ‘players’, like SV and Mortal Online, rather than listen to a sheep like you that can’t justify support for a failed endeavor at the hands of your supposed ‘experienced’ development team. |

I don't consider barely passing 1000 hours played on xfire, which is worse than the failure that is Age of Conan, a success. Still waiting for the real UO successor... |

lol funcom is far from an indie company. and who cares man, at least these dudes are trying. you dont have invest time, apply for beta, pre order, or play at release. |

Sucees in this genre is based on the number of subs to put it quite simply. From both a business and customer standpoint. MMORPG's are still a very small portion of the PC games market and most people that do play them are familiar with the what's out already and what's on the horizon. If a game is scraping the bottom of the subscriber base then there's a good reason for it and I surely wouldn't say it was successful no matter how much fun you have playing it. Even games that have been stamped as a failure by the MMO community and to the point where the doors should be be closed still have fans playing it and enjoying it. |

Darkfall is unmitigated garbage as an MMO. The FPS nature of the game doesn't make it suck any less, or make it any less shallow. It's a CS knifefight game in a persistent world. |

Darkfall wasnt a success, its a buggy, exploitfest. The best part of Darkfall is the following that game has. Self proclaimed hardcore players who are very quick to call others carebears. Especially if you critize the game for any of its flaws. Now thats hardcore. |
