Eh, I wasn't fighting a fight for anyone other than to bring the truth out, which I felt everyone was (or should have been) entitled to. I lost most of my interest in the game sometime around...well, a few months before Khatie left. Then, as I saw how amateur CME was, I wrote it off as vaporware. These guys make Adventurine look like Blizzard on a professional level. And frankly, the people that are going on and on and on about it as if CME violated them personally (it's just a game, guys) are just as bad as the fanboys and the mods over stargateworlds.com forums. They, honestly, both disgust me about the same. I'd just say 'Get over it, move on with your life.' Anyway, I was banned shortly after making my CME / MMOGUL arguements. The reason as stated on the log in page when I tried to access my account said 'NDA', which I thought was a bit odd since everything I posted was available to anyone that halfway knew how to use google and had nothing to do with anything that I signed an NDA for. When pressed, the newbie Community Manager (cant remember his name) that came from their IT department (LOL!!!) explained I was banned as a result of my relationships with former CME employees and that I had gotten confidential information from them and posted it on the forums - again, so far from the truth it wasn't even funny. I made it a point NOT to broach the subject of CME in my random conversations with them since a) it would be unprofessional of them to speak of it and b) it would be unethical of me to ask of it. Not to mention none of my business on a personal level other than to say 'Dude, that sucks about losing your job/quiting/not being paid. If there's anything I can do let me know. BTW, here's a couple names/emails of friends in the industry. Send over your resume to them'. In short, there's no shortage of blame as to all this. Managers. Presidents. Vice Presidents of <whatever>. Coders. Programmers. Everyone at CME is culpable. And honestly, I don't feel a bit sorry for anyone that lasted more than two weeks without getting paid. They knew/know how far away the game is from being ready to launch. There's no excuse for them not packing up their shit and doing something else...anything else...at the first sign of trouble - which was missing payroll. Anyone that stayed after the first round of missed paychecks contributed to it by enabling those in charge to continually walk all over them. |

Well if you read through the full thread here click I think that you'll find the moral of this story is,
"Never **** with General Zod!"
They mocked his divinity and Khestral even thought his powers trumped the Generals. However the General hasn't gone without a paycheck for four months and watched his comrades fall one by one! I hope when if Khestral or any former staff are working on an MMORPG and they see the General demanding a Beta key that they have the good sense to comply with his wishes. Better that than end up working for bread and water and watching their company suffer the Generals wrath!
"Khestral, Ya wan, ya daru ...... AGRICOLA!!!!!" "MUAH HAH HAH HAH HAH" **COUGH** "HAH HAH HAH!" edit: I've also noticed that a large part of the meltdown is the little gang that used to rule the forums are now trying to dis associate themselves with the former abuse they handed out. Such as calling posters naysayers and victimising anyone who wanted to discuss any rumours. It seems we're getting alot of people that are voicing their disgust at both the terms "FanOri" and Naysayer", despite the same people having been quite happy using the term naysayer up until now. It amazes me how when they get a dose opf their own medicine (being labeled a FanOri and ridiculed) on some internet forum they get so distressed and try to distance themselves from the exact same behaviour they themselves encouraged and took part in in the last 8 months. It reminds me of what my mother said after the second world war. After the war was over every German was denying having been a nazi, to the point my Grand mother said to her "Well it must of been MR. Nobody that did it then!". I see here all of those bullys that turned SGW forums into total trash, moderators included turning on eachother and pretending they are of some high moral character because they don't like getting a dose of their own medicine. Well General Zod says, "If you can't take it don't dish it out, puny humans!" |

TKSnow, I forgot he came from the IT Department. That seemed to be CME's way of doing business. Hire someone who knows what they are doing, after they lay the groundwork for that position, get rid of them and replace them with a Mormon from the local ward. |

If you think NOW is the time to throw $8Million into a game riddled with incompetence, fraud and misrepresentation, then you must know something the experts dont.... http://videogames.yahoo.com/events/playback/playback-65/1338952
It is possible, BUT it would take a CLEAN, let me reiterate, a clean new startup, operated like a real company, with a real Board of Directors, run by competent people.. All this combined with a monthly qualified financial statement, a quarterly certified financial statement and a complete list of uses of cash, short time specific performance contracts for the key people, and the immediate dismissal of every useless person working there, this would include about 90% of the remaining "mormon" employees...
Just my opinion..

In a recent interview with a former developer I got this info,
Some pretty damning stuff there! He rambled on about some visions and next gen MMORPG but this was pretty much all he has to say concerning CME. |
