There was this come back trial offer and it asked for a credit card for some reason so I put in one that I knew would be declined. Anyways it said Next payment date 2009-09-08 13:37 which means the trial must be active from when I activatred it. Yet it says account frozen and wont let me login...... |

If anything is assumed to be other than bullshit, theres something wrong with the perspective. |

From what I've heard it might take about 30 minutes from when reactivated and until the account is opened. |

Well, asking for credit card details is actually a good thing for players as it reduces things like botting/scams/spams etc. "The person who experiences greatness must have a feeling for the myth he is in." |

There should of been a tick box to stop it recurring charges. However did you get an email from FC? I forgot my card expired last time and got this email: We are sending you this mail to notify you that your account ************ was frozen on June 24, 2009. Since your subscription was not canceled, the reason for this freeze may be due to a failed payment transaction. Please log in to https://register.ageofconan.com to either purchase additional game-time or check for the following: * Check your card has not expired, if so please enter a new payment method under the “Change My Payment Option” menu-choice. * If you have been sent a replacement card by your bank you may also need to re-enter your details. * If paying via PayByCash: Check menu option “View my Subscription”, “View Subscription Payment History” to ensure that no action is required. * Check that your Billing Address matches the address your credit card is registered at. * Check that the available balance on your credit card is sufficient. * If all of these have been checked please visit the Check menu option “View my Subscription”, “View Subscription Payment History” and try to resubmit your payment. If none of the above helps you solve this issue, please send an e* mail to account@ageofconan.com including your account name (but not your password). Remember the banks / card companies pick up the amount to be withdrawn a few days before it is actually due to come out (same as any direct debit) I didn't get my mail till the day it was supposed to happen though. When I updated I had forum and game access within 20 mins. In this case the simple fact that the card is expired would be reason for frozen. It is not trying to charge you yet it is just flagged as error in the system.

Maybe I'm wrong but from what the OP has said it appears that when activating his veteran welcome back trial he entered incorrect card details when no card details are required. From what others have posted regarding this issue it appears that Funcom has offered veteran's a reduced monthly subscription cost if they sign up for a subscription at the start of their trial (before the trial starts). If you enter valid card details at that time then Funcom reactivate your monthly subscription and adds the trial time to the end of the first month (so you still get the trial period), meaning for the first month you get 1 month and 2 weeks playtime. As you entered incorrect card details it appears that Funcom have alerted you to that fact and are giving you a chance to amend the card details to valid ones before your trial begins as you stated that you wanted to take the monthly subscription offer. If you wanted to play the game without paying for it (i.e. just use your welcome back trial) then you DO NOT need to provide card details (as AA stated above). Hope that clears things up for you :)
