Is the MO beta open, or closed only for people who are testers, pre-orders, etc...?

Also how is this game shaping up? Im not asking anyone to disclose anything covered by NDA, but Im curious how it stacks up to other FFA PvP games currently being played.

Thanks :)

WTF!?!?!

Just a little OT here people?

So, from my reading it seems that anyone who purchsaes the digital download is eligible for the closed beta, and every 1-2 weeks they allow an additional 2000 people to play CB based on purchase order.

Is that correct?

So, safe to assume that I have zero chance of purchasing the digital download and actually playing tonight? Or likely at any point in the near future? 2000 players aint a whole lot and Im sure there are lots of people waiting to play who have pre-ordered.

Correct?

Yes you can't start playing if you'd buy it now. As I've understood it the closed beta going to now shouldn't even be called Mortal Online truly, it's the developers testing core things for the game, it's not supposed to be fun. I'd wait a few weeks and check on the game then. I can start playing August 3rd, maybe I will give my own impressions then.

Dont really think you will be able to be playing right away. Here is some info that I think you can have some use of. Othervise just check the forums if you want more info. Not sure which of then stages you will be able to join, all depends on what number you will get.

The Beta is divided into Blocks of 2.000 players each, depending on buying-order. Every second week 2.000 additional players will be able to enter the Beta. The full schedule is as follows:
July 20 Block A (including 999 Limited Editions)
August 3 Block B
August 17 Block C
August 31 Block D
September 14 Block E

To give you an idea where you end up, I can tell you that I ordered the boxed version one game after the shope opened and I ended up in block B. So if you buy it now then most likely you will end up in block D or E (probably the latter).

Its open beta if you shell out the dough.  Latest I've seen is ppl buying last saturday said they were in block d.

There isn't any shaping atm.   There appears to a problem with the client / server, and they have capped the # of participants.  There was supposed to be another beta client download that hopefully fixed the problem.

For the love of everything holy, and puppies, shutup about the signature. The question has already been answered. No it's not open, yes that means it's closed. This thread needs to die. Take your politics and talk about it on Rush Limbaughs website. He actually gives a shit.

Thread has been cleaned of all off-topic conversation.  Keep this on the topic of OP about the beta.  Political discussions are to be kept in the off-topic area of the forums.

Thanks.
