What is with the spam bots for this game on this site?

Ban them for pity's sake! They're hijacking my threads that aren't even on the aion boards, and they're bumping old ass threads we all forgot about a week ago.

they got nothing better to do, + the us side is still considerd beta more then likly they will flush the old forums out then start policing when they start making some revenue from the states.

Yep, same lame Aion gold seller site, they make a hunderd or so posts but get IP banned ( I hope ) and all their spam disappears.

I often wonder what the point is - their ads don't last a day here, so why bother?

it is annoying but it's short lived.  the sad fact is they wouldn't be doin it if they wernt making a profit.

not sure what you mean by this. You know NCsoft doesn't moderate any of these forums, right? There are no official Aion forums run by NCsoft up as of yet. Aionsource is about as close as you'll find and it's strictly moderated.

Kinda spoke b4 i read though mmo' forums thoght lxigan was talking about the beta forums and aionsource.  the spam here on mmo gave me a lil bit of a shock but i dont believe the forum is moderated on the weekend.

Supposedly it's not. I'm tempted to just volunteer to be a weekend mod so at least someone is around to handle this crap.

These spam bots do a lot of damage though - they completely screw up the thread listing on this area of the forums.

Yet there are those that support these websites, after all if they continue to exist it's for a reason and that's people spending money. Don't give them view counts and most importantly don't spend a single cent on these third-party companies - just quit the game instead, by staying and supporting these kind of companies you actually do more damage than benefit.

I'd gladly do some volunteer damage control on banning these bots if possible, but in the meanwhile all we can is click on the report buttom, maybe it auto-blocks the account or something if enough people report them.

This spammer is definitely annoying. I've reported and blocked them, but I don't see how that's made any difference.

It's so pointless too I mean by the direction of this thread and obvious hate of the spammer, they should realize it's pointless.

Though I agree.. LMAO you have not seen ANYTHING yet. Just wait till the game is launched. You will wish AION was like wow then.. in the way.. people do cheat in wow but wow does a very good job. Aion (ncsoft) will NOT... sure .. sure.. the US will be different than KOR or China.. HAHA..

Because NCSoft has moderation privledges on this or any other forum for Aion excluding the beta forums.
