Logged my first 4 hours or so and so far its a blast! I did seem to attract some dude that kept killing me even though we are both Human. Then he asks me why he is Evil and how to quit being it! Oh Lord, I choked on my Monster when I read that part. Trust me when I tell you Monster through the nose IS NOT a good thing.

Am I the only one who does not know what "my Monster" is referring to?  Perhaps something mentioned while I was away? 

 

Anyway... whatever it is... I had a good laugh at "my Monster" reference.

I'm not familiar with that drink, so you can probably appreciate the laugh I had when you said that you:

The reason I found that funny was I used to get such a kick out of new players in UO that would be asking the same thing, usually while/after running for their lives. This happened a lot outside of Delucia, where they would run around and kill the Shepards. 

Yeah what happened was that I hit him a couple of times on accident and went Grey then he got all mad and killed me when I was working on another mob.  Then when I did my corpse run he got me again before I got to it (should have Rested first). Then I guess he tried to get back into Monkfield Bank and got zapped by towers! Of course I looted his corpse, got my stuff back plus some of his stuff (all crappy noob stuff) then he sends me a tell asking me if we can call it a truce! I said Sure since you started it, then he asked me how to "Stop being evil" (i.e. turn back to Blue) and I say Stop killing me for a start! It was quite funny in a wierd way. Its better to be Ganked by a clueless noob than a group of tw@s that likes to camp at the Starter Goblin areas!

If you see Pong Lenis (yes thats his IGN) whack him a few times then ask him "How do i stop being Evil"!

 

Wow Pong Lenis, that was my former clanmate before I left the clan awful company. We played for several months and fought in the wars that included major alliances. I wonder if he left AC also since he is in a starter town. And to answer your previous questions, the friends list is annoying imo so I don't use it. I just send a /tell to the person that I wanted to talk to. If you don't already know how to send a pm here is what you type: /tell "firstname" "lastname" "yourmessage" without the signs. Are you sure you are ready for Yssam? There are less new players around here since it is far from the starting towns and has all player owned cities and no guard towers to protect you from reds. I will get on later and tomorrow to see if you are on, Ozzy Mcfly is the name correct? I'll busy for a couple of hours.

Well he told me he was new. That was on my first day in Monkfield. Guess he was lying so I wouldn't get mad or something. Dosen't matter, I thought the whole thing was hilarious!

As far as Yssam, your prolly right. Would take a couple of hours just to get there! In a few days when Im more comfortable with game mechanics I'll start looking for a Clan. Seems like all the ones that advertise on Chat all require Vent or TS and I dont use either and refuse to. Nothing more annoying than a bunch of people trying to yell over each other! I just listen to my music collection while playing.

Yes Ozzy Mcfly is the IGN.

All good clans use ventrilo, the ones who don't lack coordination and tactics during combat.

I hear that alot. Good thing their is that little thing called Chat Tabs.

If all Clans in DF use Vent then I guess I'll just stay Solo. Im not going to spend hours listening to people scream into my ear.

Although its somewhat old news to those that play the game, a newbie tutorial is currently being developed as per a lengthy post made by the development team about 2 months ago.
