1.Their is a reason some of the guilds put hardcore in their titles. 2. If you read something you don't like or are not willing to do leave it at that and plz move on. 3. No one wants to realy read a bunch of replys saying negative things about how much play time people put into a game. 4. The post is ment to look for people of like mind and play style's for them to have the oportunity to apply leave a comment and for others to see how many people might be or have signed up with that guild or legion so they might see the strength of that that said guild or legion's numbers and have a better idea of if they want to join. 5. For most this is something they do as entertainment and fun and for others mmorpg's can be very much like a job. When you see 30+ 40+ hours as a req. the people are looking for dedication they want people who are not just messing around here or their in their spare time who would rather watch a cable show or movie they have seen like 20times before then play, they want to be the best they can be and see and everything before anyone els does they want to post the vid's and screen shots and post on forms "hey look at this " rather then being the ones looking at it saying "cant wait to get their in a few weeks or months." For most of you flaming and running your mouth's I feel sorry for you, you will join newb, and pug, filled guilds with no leadership no goals nothing but a /g filled with talk the quality of most late night region chat in WOW filled with chuck noris jokes. You will not know the feeling of being in a tight nit community striving to accomplish things or know you can go any where with anyone from your guild and not have to think about do they knwo what they are doing??? how much xp am I going to lose on this outing?? ( thank god xp lose form death you WOW babies and CARE BEARS are in for a treat now you suck, you die, you pay the price. no more free rides for you.) For thoes who also think people who play this much have no lives?? well I am a hard core player I have been in hard core guilds where we have had each others phone numbers and called if something major was happening and we need them their. where we have handed off raids, and objectives in shifts to keep our side on top. That being said i would not leave the club because mike called me and we are pushing a fort or city, I would leave the movie i rented for that, I go to the club, the strip bar, and as my parents would have called it " run the streets till all hours of the night" and still have time for the GF and put in over 40 hours a week at the game easily... In closing if you do not fit in to one of theys guilds then STFU and join another that fits your play style...
PS. hard core player looking for hard core guild NA/ Asmodian will be playing a sorc. |

Feel better now? I agree people shouldnt post in guild threads just to point out the negatives of those guilds. In all fairness though this is the mmorpg.com forums and well we all know how things go here so one should not be surprised. Me I am hardcore at heart but no longer have those kind of free time due to wife, kid and demanding job but good luck in your search and good luck to all the guilds looking to make Aion their home. |

Not being a hardcore player myself, you touch on some very good points. So good job on getting your point across without seeming like an "uber 1337" player. My only issue with hardcore players is that, while you may make time for real life, many don't. I know 2 hardcore players in real life. I work with them. One used to stand his girlfriend up (who he was engaged to) to play WoW. The other once said "who needs friends when you have WoW? Friends come and go, WoW is forever." It's people like this that give hardcore players a bad name. Don't feel bad though, us casual players have bad names too. It's not that I don't WANT to play more, I simply CAN'T play more. My job, my wife, my friends and general life responsibilties simply do not make it possible.
At any rate, enjoy your games. Don't forget to enjoy life as well. There are, and always will be, things in life that no game can give you. That's what people forget.

I would never post in a guild recruiting post to mock someone for saying they are hardcore. But hey, you stepped out of the box now. Please stop with the "hardcore" stuff. Porn is hardcore, no game is. There's just a matter of how much time you put into vs the time you put in real life. You may succeed in a game, but at a cost to your achievements in real life. We all make our own choices I suppose. Besides, you're playing Aion, hardly the epitome of "hardcore" games.
