Hey guys, I am trying out RoM . . . I am a lvl 13 Mage on a PvP server and I thinking about playing this game for real howevere I do not have the time to play the game and focus on leveling and reaching endgame. I'll be working over 80+ hours a week come August 10. So i'd prefer a game where I can "progress" economically instead of by levels. So my questions are:
2) Should I do PvP server, PvE server, or the new PvP server coming out on July 24th. Which is better economy wise? 3) I don't really intend to spend $$$$, perhaps a little bit as seeding money, is this feasible? 4) I intend to log in for 30-60 minutes and do my trading and setup things and then log off. Would this work? FOr some reason this game caught my attention. I like SWG but it is just too old and saturated, so the new server seems like a prime opportunity. Let me know what you think, thanks. Only a few objects sell well. To get to the point were you can get them to sell on your own will take more time then you say you have. My view the economy is the weak link in the program. And was made that way on purpose. You can with real money buy the buffing objects. Most of the other objects in the shop are time savers like xp pots, mounts at lvl 1. So in short play rom have fun but trying to level with selling with not be much fun. |

Weird ,i disagree,i think the economy/AH is a huge gold maker. You can make decent gold just selling normal stuff, but if you take the time to craft runes, you can make a lot more.I actually feel the economy is a bit over pricey, but some crafts take a lot of effort,so the players deserve their rewards for effort. Since you have no time to play,i would not recommend a MMORPG,but if you must ,at least it is free and a decent game. The one hour you intend on playing is quite doable. The reason is because the daily quests from the bulletin boards are easy to do and take little time. You use this progress to not only level up but it takes you to the crafting of runes part i mentioned. I would say if you know your way around decently, you could maybe do the max 10 dailies[buys one charge] in an hour or just over an hour,2 hours would be a realistic time line,i think that is about how long it takes me to do the daily quests. You line up all the quests in like 2 minutes and can start killing for the drops or the count in less than a minute. You can do most things solo,so time to form groups is not a biggie, even then grouped mobs often have people calling in chat for players. You can do quite a bit of crafting in an hour. |
