This is probably the worst written piece of @#$% I've ever read on the internet, and that's saying a lot. Satire is witty comedy, not that.... garbage. The internet is full of garbage, I just thought the mmorpg.com staff had more sense than to put said garbage into their own news list. Half the bloggers on mmorpg.com bashing WoW deserve 10x the spotlight that they gave this...ugh... I just threw up in my mouth a little.

MikeB, you rock!  I read this article earlier today, it's funny to see it posted as news.

I guess look at it like this: the article was a comedian's act, and the main topic in the act was WoW.  I found it funny, and I'll bet there's plenty of WoW players out there who will also find it funny.

My favorite part of the article was the very well done graphics.

i dont hate WoW in any way, and i found this article hilarious. Some of these people in this thread need to get off their high horse and quit bitching.

The guy used WoW as an example. Its the most played MMO. Calm down people. You can apply the cliches to any MMO. Of course, WoW haters will jump on the bandwagon, and LOL @ WoW retards. Oblivious to the fact their game wasn't being made fun of, because its irrelevant(How's that for irony?).

quit caving to the overly sensitive people. The article was about WoW. Whether or not it can be applied to other MMOs is based off opinion.

Well that was five minutes of my life I'll never recover.  I was waiting for the article to improve.  Well below mm()rgpg's usual high standard!

We still do all that on my server.  I think some people that got "bored" with WoW, were just on crappy servers full of people who just don't get into the lore, are mostly children, and everyone just went to the BGs and abandoned the rest of the game world. Our server is nothing like that.  People still "hate" the other faction, still raid their cities, still have the Southshore/Tauren Mill football games, still mow down Westfall and Crossroads, etc.

I think our server does a lot more of actually roleplaying at the game (even though it's NOT an RP server) than most other servers do. And for me....that's kept the game a lot more fresh than I think it would be for me on another server. Maybe it's just the specific 350 people that I play with in my guild....idk....but the experiences I often hear described by others playing WoW....don't often reflect what I experience.
