So I waited for the shops to go live til about midnight, went to bed, and then woke up at about 4.30am this morning (UK time).

Thought i'd check it since I'd been waiting for near a year.. Saw the price.. £62 ($100 ) for the boxed version including shipping. Even though I love the game, that was a little too much for my £40 in my account until friday (Payday).

So, I came home today.. "registered" my payment details.. didn't even comprehend it would charge me..

I thought about it.. called my bank.. ended up giving my friend the cash to transfer in to my account to cover the payment (which cleared in 10 minutes).

Long story short.. I now own a boxed version, and have a spot in Block A of the beta testing.. all because of dumb luck. But it's persuaded me to keep it.. as it's one thing to not of the cash and have to say no.. but when you make a mistake like this, and you find a way to make it work in those circumstances.. you just do it =D.

So you automatically get pulled in block 'X' when you PURCHASE the game (be it digital or box) or when you ACTIVATE it? 

If the later case is true, I`m running off to the bank to fund my credit card right now...

When you purchase it, it tells you on your account details what block you're in.

If you buy the boxed version you get in block A of testers, download version is in the next blocks that follow depending on when you purchase.. Sound like every 2 weeks they will let 2k more people in until they reach 10k.

Let me be more precise. When you log in to your Mortal online account, at the game store section, and click your choice of game (boxed, limited edition etc), it then asks you for payment details. If you put in your details, and hit submit.. it'll charge your card automatically. It'll then tell you your block. I accidently ordered it an hour ago and am in Beta A.

Are you saying you didn't expect to be charged when you selected your choice and then put in your payment details and clicked on Submit?

 I just ordered MO about 15 minutes ago.. The only choice I had was the boxed version.. For some reason, I didn't get in Beta Block A, guess I just missed the cutoff, *shrug* instead I'm in Beta Block B which starts on the 3rd of August.. Personally, waiting a couple weeks will probably work out better for me..

Anyway, those that order the game now will most likely be put in Beta B until those 2000 slots fill up.

Just to warn those who may freak out,,, under subscription it says it runs out on August 14th, lol. The Devs or someone over in account management control needs to fix this or at least make a note of this so people don't get confused,, lol.

Not true, I bought the boxed version and I got into block B. Only the first X number of people who bought the boxed got into block A.

Oh btw Yamota I see you posting often here and on the DF forums and was curious, what is your biggest draw to this game? I see alot of people talk about theirs but never seen you say yours and I was curious cause you seem to be a fairly common and wellspoken poster.

Mmmm then I`ll stay put and wait for the download version. With the shit postage services in my country, chances are I`ll get it next year!
