Aion, in a word, is amazing and I love it.
The greatest aspect of Aion is its ability to effect you outside of its digital environment. You really do get emotionally grafted into this game. The emotional challenges that face your character in the game can also manifest itself in life. Not many game companies can say they have successfully done that.
Allow me to explain. I have 3 characters leveled up so far in Aion beta, and the thought of re-leveling just 1 character makes me want to smash my head into my desk. Emotionally challenging indeed. Never has a game been able to reach this deep into my psyche to cause such a reaction. Aion is (in its truest form) an exercise in mental strength and discipline. Imagine once your beta characters get erased for game release and you start all over again with a new character…at level 1. Same starting point, same quests, same linear story, same buttons to smash. The linear structure of this game is amazing, and the mental / emotional effect this is already creating in me is fascinating. NCsoft has out done itself by creating a game world that can effect the players physical world too. Now, after you level your main character in Aion you probably will want to roll an alt. Oh joy my soul! I get to re-live this all over again. Same starting point, same quests, same linear story, same buttons to smash (with different pictures). I’m shaking with anticipation! Can I do it? Can I level an alt without throwing my computer out the window? Never have I been challenged in such a manner. This will take all my mental prowess and concentration to be able to accomplish this. Oooh, I just had a thought…a 3rd character!!! I can adah kd aspl;d;lqze’d. ………… ………….sorry, I just passed out on my keyboard. Would I even be able to attempt a 3rd character without blowing my head clean off?!? I can imagine my hand on the mouse, shaking as it reaches for the gun, only to be snapped back in control to my mouse. I need to stop because I am starting to get dizzy again. Big love to NCsoft for and their great accomplishment. They seem to have spent whole minutes in creating the quest line and lore. We need to petition NCsoft to release Aion tomorrow, I don’t think I can wait. Maybe I should play Linear 2. If Linear 2 is as linear as Aion, then Linear 2 is where I should be until Aion is released. Despite my wish to have Aion released early, I doubt this will happen.
Maybe I’ll just make another appointment with my dentist to have my teeth drilled again.

Well put sarcasm I guess.... Bash it all you want, Ncsoft is making millions and you aren't. I personally think its a great game and I don't mind questing.

So the game is so bad you made a mmorpg.com account to do nothing other than talk about how bad Aion is?  I'm not usually one to be a dick, but you are the epitome of a loser.

Loved the sarcasm. I was actually expecting to read a post defending another asian grindfest.

+1 Internets to you, sir.

He is just complaining about the linear nature of the first levels and how much it sucks to reroll and do it over and over again regardless of if the game is fun or changes towards mid to end game.

What I wonder is.. why the hell does he keep rerolling.  I already decided to make 1 char ever in this game to not have to deal with the first levels more than once.  They actually seem fun, and epic questline seems interesting for at least one play through.  Obviously he didn't hate it that much either if he rolled 3 toons...

Guys just forget about this fool's thread.  All you have to do is click on his name to see he's on a mission to bad mouth Aion.  I have no idea why this is so important to him.  If the game sucks so bad why is it always on your mind?  It's not like you've been playing the game, since the betas are down.
