Store appears to be up. Made an account and got to the order page, but yeah...I'll be waiting to see if digital is a bit cheaper. As it stands, you're looking at around $77US for the standard and $105US for the full loot bag for the client. For something that still has to prove itself, as much as the idea of the game sounds great and all given that the ONLY other game with city building at the moment is Darkfail, that's a bit much to cough up, up front.

I bought the Full Loot bag, and can confirm total price of $98 USD. $71 Euro.

It said it was gonna be less than darkfall, but who the fuck cares, it is worth every cent even though i've never played it and it could not even exist!

I'm hoping thats satirical, as that's exactly my problem at the moment.

EDIT: Also slighly worrying is that there is no way to edit or remove information once you make said account. Once it's there...it's there.

EDIT: And between when I posted this thread and now the full loot bags sold out. People are a trusting stupid bunch. I need to make me a fake game (not saying mortal is fake) and throw up 10,000 preorders at 10 a pop and maybe I can actually pay off my student loans sometime in my lifetime.

Yeah well I was really gonna buy it....

but 75$ US ... then putthat in CAN money...

BIT wait, ALOT of money for a game.

Maybe once it's released if it's good but even then, way too fucking expensive.

Oh well, 5 years ago when I didn't own a house and the economy wasn't down the shitter, today, nope, lost a customer.

The thing I don't get is, this is for the client. MMOs, the client is supposed to be cheap, unless you're not hurting for subs. It seems flat out bizzare you would charge so much more than a standard game let alone a standard MMO client for a game that needs to make a name for itself and get off the ground.

Then again, looking at the full loot bags, not so surprising. They go big selling the clients as a huge price, and even if they don't get half the subs they would otherwise, they get more money up front from people who are itching to blow money on hype.

I'm thinking of passing as well.  Just too hard to justify $75 on a game that is unproven, from a company that is an unknown.

50$ is standard, and a box is being shipped from Sweden. 75$ is justified for me, but if you were living in europe 50E +14E a month is a rip off.

It was rough waiting BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT well worth the wait because the whole store process was easier than WoW. After I saw all of the delays I thought we were going to have the same F5 marathon with buggy checkouts, but luckily such was not the case!

Where are you shopping? The only PC games I've seen pooping out at $50 are EA cash ins. The majority of your PC titles are still around the lower end of the $40-50 bracket, and this is an MMO client for crying out loud.

It's also not worth what people think is too much which seems to be the case looking at the Mortal forums. If I hype and market it enough, I can sell you an unpolished steamy turd. Looking at the loot bag sales, looks like there's at least 10k people who probably would. Perceived value vs actual value. We know one, we don't know the other.

He is shopping in europe , you know , that little place across the ocean , the place where we use EUROS as the currencie and where we pay 50 euros for a new game and 14 euros for a MMO sub ... that place ...
