There has been an organized attack against the Mortal website and the community in general. A small group of Darkfall fans have begun using programs similar to the ones used against scientology to launch Denial of Service attacks against the MO website during the time of launch. |

And why is that stupid you rather see they let all 10k in at once to overload the server becuse they havent STRESS tested it before? Thats why they letting in 2000 beta testers in blocks to TEST the server. |

Since they are paying for it so naturally people also have demands, makes perfect sense. If it was free, then yeah, but it is not.
I think its going great. Only peoples that will really help MO to improve will left to preorder... |

First Darkfail...now this.....I have lost all respect with Euros trying to sell anything over the internet....lol They spend years coding a mmorpg, but yet spend 30 minutes working on a protocol to sell it.... They need to sell the pre-order blocks via Ebay......so simple... Use Ebay's hardware/software to handle the load.
/problem solved

Variety is the spice of life, unfortunately, it's also the bane of balance. |

I wouldn't put it passed DF fans to do something like this but I don't beleive it. |

Well, seems they ran over DF-fanbois - looks it runs smoothly now! Weii!
MO here I come! |
|
|
So, are people able to purchase now? |
|
|
No we are still unable to get a purchase made as of yet.
This is a wee bit silly though, and though I promised myself that SV would be better and do better than Adv, it seems Indi companies just cannot manage a launch...

Sinister Tyrants is recruiting mature individuals for Mortal Online.
We are looking for old school players. we generally prefer 21+ as an age requirement, but will entertain 18+ if we feel it's a fit. I used to play on the Chesapeake shard on UO, under the names Pariah and Lacidious, and ran guilds known as RD (Red Death) and STD (Sinister Tyrants of Doom). It was a regular occurrence to log into my guild house, only to find it surrounded by those out for my blood. It was a good feeling. Emotions were always high when people saw me or my guild ....be it hatred, respect, fear ....or all of the above, there was a feeling of achievement watching how players would behave around you. We are looking to achieve this feeling again. My play style is more of a honorable PK if there is such a thing. Those of you who played UO back in the day will understand what I mean when I say it seems as if many PKs out there were more honorable than the Great Lords who reviled them so. That being said, ALL play styles are eagerly accepted in this guild. (no whiners) I want a tight knit group ....a family if you will. Not an orphanage for the under-privileged and incontinent. These are the infantile stages of the Mortal Online chapter of Sinister Tyrants, so those of you looking to help shape the guild for years to come, please jump on board. Apply @ http://www.SinisterTyrants.com Ventrilo required. |
