But the amount of info sent with a ping is.... like nothing. I'm not surprised you got through. Now to only find a way to get a ping to buy the game for you.... |

I'll never understand these companies that can't get their act together in terms of online billing and network capacity. Their web host said they could handle it? Lol, ok. Ever heard of a dry run or a test scenario? I'm sure they'll get it figured out eventually, but it doesn't have to be as painful as they're making it. Do some tests, spend some money on a reliable host with on-call engineers, and you won't have these problems. Networking isn't rocket science. |

Nah man I left and things kind of went to hell.
Me and Jack Danger are actually looking to start a guild, we have a pool of 200 people from www.Championsoftheforce.com so if the games any good we're going to see what we're throwing together.
But it's not a fure sure thing yet, if your getting somethign started I may be interested, and you'd be welcome with me and jack as well.

Give em a break, they're a smaller company low on cash with thousands of people trying to buy their game, and after all this is simply a preorder, its not their fualt you feel you need to preorder the game really really badly, the point of beta is for people to improve the game, so they really dont have to give a crap who gets in as long as 10,000 people do. Its not their job to make beta a wonderful experiance for you, for that you gotta wait for the real game |

Ya but its a freaking preorder with the chance to get into beta coming with that. Remember your paying for the game that will be released in september, thats what the preorder money is going towards, they just need beta testers and figured paying costumers are a great place to start |

However in this case you will be charged NOW, so this payment is for beta and pre-order. |

No wonder it is getting eaten up:
From Darkfall's forum in a MO thread that the mods left there for 40 mins. Normally you get banned and the thread will be deleted after 2 mins! HMMM:

Lol @ the scared nerds that wont understand that DFO is history and MO will overtake them, muhaha!
Epic fail for DFO that their mods obviously lets the thread going on - shot in their leg!

No one is goign to stop refreshing when you only have a limited ammount of spots for beta block 1. To stop people from overloading the servers they need to just get rid of beta block for now, and just allow anyone in. |

Originally posted by sickan I'm sure there are thousands more MO customers doing the same thing. A few DF fanboys would make no difference. They probably should have tested this, I'm sure they saw the mess that DF was. I still think they should have let everybody enter their CC info a couple weeks in advance and then just had them click an agreement saying they agree to be charged in 2 weeks, and then just charge 10,000 people (or however many they're letting in) at random. That way, there'd be no rush to be first, since the whole thing would be random anyway.... basically using the same logic they use to let people sign up for a beta test. |
