When will these companies get a clue... partner with someone who can handle your traffic load... You could probably get someone to do it for free to you because of the ad impressions...

I few thousand people? Thats not a huge load for most popular web sites. If you saw before, there was a max of about 1500 members online. Thats too much for their humble servers, but for any bigger company they should handle it with no problem. |

If you realize that there wouldnt be a reason for people to F5 the shit out of their browsers if the server could handle it, then yes a decent sized company could handle this no problem. Its the fact that as soon as the server gets overloaded people start to panic and spam the servers even more, hoping that will fix it. So....... I guess we wait........ *facepalm* |
