The Clockwork Symphony is a Steampunk based MMO to be set in San Francisco California circa 1875. With three distinct but not exclusive paths to walk upon from level 1-50.
Gaslight Romance. By staying in the heart of San Francisco you'll experience some of the core elements of Steampunk. A thriving artistic community, wherein the vices of man are the only thing holding us back from becoming a truly marvelous society. Whether it's murderers in back alleys, mad scientists releasing their abominations in the sewers, or cultists seeking to summon lovecraftian entities from beyond the pale, you'll have your hands full in Gaslight Romance.
Weird West. By sticking to your guns on the border of San Francisco you'll experience some of the core elements of a western shooter with a healthy dose of steampunk. Raucous Saloons will keep you up late into the night while horse-thieves, train robbers, ancient native american curses, and the occasional band of thieves armed not only with weapons but clockwork limbs all seekto end your life and take what they want from the world.
Pulp Action. By slipping between the Weird West and Gaslight Romance you'll open up exciting new missions and quests which can send you to fight in geurilla warefare in Peru, or hunt for artifacts in ancient Egypt, Mexico, or the Dark Heart of Africa. You'll likely fight tooth and nail against the wildlife, those who mean to exploit the region, and natives who seek to keep the ancient secrest, and sometimes ancient evils, sealed away from the world of men.
And while those are the three paths we're designing you'll also find yourself given more options in equipment and crafting. As you'll be able to cutomize each and every item you pick up throughout the game to your own standards. Is your character a well to do Gentleman Pirate who sails through the skies in his own airship? Well a common man's pistol won't do. A Walnut handle with inlaid brass might spruce it up a bit, however...
We plan to have Vehicular Combat on the land, sea, and in the air. Responsive enemy encounters rather than static spawns which tailor your encounters to your character. Nine classes of various playstyles and the ability to hybridize between them, opening up more play style opportunities.
And what's more; an Alignment System. However it won't be so drastic as "Good versus Evil", no. While a Dastardly character can join powerful factions and recieve special equipment, so can a Do-Gooder. But the shocking thing is that we'll have specific factions whom only those who maintain neutrality can join.
PVP handled through a simple self-flagging system which requires you to enter the options menu and the setting both allow us to have the heroes and villains (Do-Gooders and Dastards) starting in the same place, fighting their foes in the same zones, interacting and meeting each other in saloons, taverns, and back alleys... A Dastard wouldn't randomly attack a man in the street. He'd likely as not be arreste for something of that manner. And a Do-Gooder can't -prove- that the Dastards wandering about have done anything wrong.
By flagging yourself for PvP you're telling the world that you don't care if you can't prove it or might go to jail. And thus NPCs may get involved. Guards may be called by shopkeepers. And surely those guards within sight of the scuffle will attempt to break it up...

I'd also like to ask that we be put on the list as a Steampunk Fantasy MMO being produced by the Clank Crew. Currently in Pre-Development.

I really hope that you folks can pull this off. It's a very unique and interesting idea that stands out against the miles of classical fantasy MMOs that litter the landscape, and I hope that you can find some reliable backing to get the ball rolling. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - |
