So when AoC first launched, I was very excited. It sounded like a great and fresh mmo. I perordered and tried to play the beta (couldn't get it to work). I knew the game was not going to have tons of subs or anything but I was still surprised at the amount of people who purchased it. I began playing on launch and I was thrilled. I had a blast playing my assassin through the first twenty levels and despite the glitches and bugs, I had a lot of fun. Then I struggled to level 46 and stopped playing due to a lack in content and the fact that the bugs were simply catching up to me. Now, with Conan's reenlistment campaign I am ready to give one of my favorite mmos another shot. 2 weeks of free time, free server transfer, start a 2nd character at lvl 50, tons of new content, bug fixes, revamped pvp, item adjustment. It sounds like I will finally be able to enjoy the game I really wanted to like. Anyone going to join me? Also, for any of you current AoC players, a few questions: 1. What is the most populated server? 2. Are Assassins still completely underpowered? 3. Are PoMs still rediculously OP? |

Don't bother. It takes like 10 minutes to kill a creature now..

I think the most populated pvp server is Tyranny. Pve seems to be Wiccana. Character balance is constantly changing. I played an assassin on a trial and it wasn't for me, I haven't tried POM yet so I don't know if they are overpowered or not. I am playing as a HOX and loving it. Enjoy your re-eval! |

Most populated server in the game in Tyranny (PvP server) For PvE servers I have a 24 Dark Templar on Set and set is full of action, even past tortage. Assasins well lets say this. I was in a PvP minigame and I was a Necromancer and an assasin caught me without any minions and he was cloaked, so he came up behind me and like 3 shottted me before I could barely get a spell off. I would say their not underpowered, good for soloing it seems. PoM's I have to say I havent noticed to bad of balancing. I think that they are decent but no PoM's ever heal it seems. I mean if you wanna be a caster why not just roll tempest of set. Guild Wars - Rorick Aurlith E/Mo pumped up with the best armor and weapon, has all his skills, and runes. PvP King! 1. Tyranny for PvP Set or / Wiccana for PvE 2. Assassins were always OP pre-1.05 due to no proc limit on Lotus Overload and their CC chains. They are OP in 1.05.3 on Testlive but not in 1.05.2 currently on live. 3. PoMs are fantastic in 1.05.2 which is on Live atm. They are INSANELY OP in the new Testlive patch 1.05.3.

Been concentrating a lot on specs since reactivating, spent a lot of time and gold testing builds out, its rather disappointing that most of the trees aren't effective, balanced, whatever. With only one per class really working atm, seems like they should just scrap the tree system, its a bad copy of WoW and it took Blizzard years to make all of their trees effective, useful, and balanced doubt FC will ever get it right, they have too many basics they still need to work on. You cant call it character customization if almost everyone is basically using the same build. A country raised New Zealand girl can kill, bleed, gut, skin and butcher a sheep in about 40 minutes, the sheep are bigger than a large person ... so be careful about pissing off a NZ country girl. |
