I think you need a CC to complete the signup (just like a boxed version) but you can cancel immediately and keep your 30 days if I am not mistaken.

I have the problem too. The problem itself isn't that bad but my cc doesn't work online. It works to Click'n'buy though but I had once so many problems with it. I won't use it. It feels pretty good to win though, and always I can give the code to my friend :)

I did not win the contest, but I did buy the game (DD style) online yesterday. Now I dont even have a credit card ( still waiting for my student one) but a friend said to at least try debit, and it works! So if you have a debit card ( note: it should have a major credit card logo - aka Master Card, AMEX - e.t.c) it will work, takes a while as funcom will check with the bank first, but i was approved in about  a half hour.

Hopes this helps a few people.

You don't need a CC. Just choose "pay by cash" and you can register, without selecting a subscription.

 Well I won one of the codes yesterday. Got the e-mail this morning and the code I try to put in I keep getting

Also I do have a question about the phone verification part. Do they send you a text message? I have texting blocked on my phone lol will I need to give my girlfriends phone number inorder to complete this registration.

 Dont worry about the sms texting part of the deal. I entered a my cell phone and everything properly, yet they never sent me a text, The account was activated and i got all the features. Maybe funcom is just lazy and didnt wanna text me.

I won the contest, download the game without problems, created my account, but when i try to log in the game i got error message saying that my password is wrong, even when i am 100% sure that i entered it correctly. Anyone got this problem too?

You have to have a debit/credit card or gametime you can get that on amazon for next to nothing.

i just downloaded the client, but my key is faulty as well, someone must know what is going on here?

same happened to me, close the game client and reopen it. if that doenst work change the pw on funcom website account management ( change it then change it back) thats what i did. it wasnt working, so i changed it. still didnt work, so i changed it back and whalah it worked. :D hope this helps.

This, Pay by cash works fine.

I also won the contest, the major failure though is that the code is for US AoC so i cannot play with my friends :(

Hey, I saw that there were some keys that weren't claimed... what will happen with them?

I won but have yet to recieve a key that works.   Hopefully I will get one since I really want to try the game, but its probably a big mess considering the email problem.

 So there is no way to play on European servers with those keys? I also won one and i wanted to play with some friends whom are on EU what shall i do? I haven't used the key yet

I won too and claimed the prise but still haven't heard anything about it .

I take it they are still sending out the keys for the game ? 

I got mine you just have to wait, it says up to 2 days, dont worry youll get it, just wait, as for using it on the EU servers, i dunno.
