I haven't gotten my key yet (I won though) but I can give it to someone if they really want to play the game. I have no intentions of using it.

Ironic isnt it ? I was a starting subscriber of AoC. But stopped after 4 months with maximum HoX lvl 80. Now I get the chance to get 14 days getting back in. And now I win a AoC copy :p

"Going to download the game and try it out finally" (once the key shows up in my mail box that is), I have been thinking of giving it a go for a while. Now I will have the chance :)

Games should do this more often. Especially struggling games, at least get people to look at the game, might even get some people to sub to it too.  7 days is not enough, you almost feel rushed.

A full month before paying for anything is pretty smart, imho.  So many older games like EQ2, Vanguard, SWG should do something like this.

I fell cheated, I got the key by mistake. It's going to be deactivated soon. This was the worst thing that happened to me this week, DAMN YOU, MMORPG.COM!!!!

same thing happened to me too, I got a key then was told I hadn't actually won :\

I have also won a copy. For me it's just gonna be a try-out, a little gankfest with other contest winners and I'm almost sure I'm gonna give it away to a more serious player once my month ends so funcom can still make money of this contest. I agree, it is great marketting and they company will earn money if just a few of the people pay for another month.

I guess SOE is way too cheap to give out anything for free (I play EQ2 myself, but SOE do make uncle Scrooge look like santa).

But at least Mythic should use this tactic also, they need players. That Erling guy knows his work.

Ya email says 6 gigs....but I'm DLing from the link atm and it is on a 11.4 gigs part atm. 

i also won a key and give it a try, but im in the EU and the download link says US, can i use this key also for eu game/server??

Funny that you mention that, I was given EQ2 and all expansions with 3 months of game time by SOE a year or so ago. AT the time I really didn't have the time to play, to bad haha I wish I did now. I don't even know why I was given all that, think quite a few ex SWG/eq2 players got it.

I won, But im not gonna waste my time with it. Too busy with other Games to be interested in this..lol. Just applied for the hell of it, Never thought i would actually win. Haha'

No, it's the normal 30 days free, then you pay monthly from there on out as normal. You basically just got the box for free (well in this case the digital DL).

Thats what I thought. Gorilla messed me up by saying that accounts are free. From what I see here it's 20$, so it's still worth something after my free days are over, right?

No you don'thave to buy the game.  The reverse there is no need to biy the game anymore. You can start with a free trial and then start paying subs. Or you can choose to  buy the game for under $10 (well I paid 5 pounds sterling) and have a 'free' 30 days.

Downloading it atm. Let's see if I like it or not.  I give it a try anyways. I'm bored atm and trying to find new MMO so I it' was good time to win it :)

I'm still little confused. Is it american or european copy? How can I play as long as possible, can I save the key and take the trial first? 

Fact is this, it's free. I won a copy and am glad I did. My sub ended last week for AOC and I'm up in NY visiting family and my uncle really wants to play. On his computer it looks amazing in DX10 whereas on my pc it barely runes, ahaha. But anyways, now I'm going to give him this copy and he can now play with me which he's excited about. I'm such a great nephew. What's great about AOC is most skills are used with combos and it has fatalities as well. Amazing graphics. Really a unique game that is pretty fun to play. Plus you can be powerleveled if you're in a big guild that powerlevels players. They can just run you through high level mobs to level you quickly. :)

Do these keys provide any special mounts or goodies? :)
