I doubt CCP will publicly make fun of there player base. Having said this CCP i have the solution for you to make more for your company. Others who know what im talking about will go balistic but know what i say, it will make more money for CCP.

The problem isn't there; I'm sure the level-up-while-you-sleep idea is fine for people who don't have much time to play.  But the downside is that logging in gives you no advantage whatsoever regarding the speed at which you gain skills.  It does not go faster.  If you already have accomplished everything you wanted to do at your level, there is no need to bother logging in except to replenish your skills queue.

In my case, I'm sitting it out for a week because I have everything I need for my next stage, except the skills.

Your doing it wrong, you log in to "play the game" as others have said. If you want a game where the sole purpose is to watch a level tick up EVE is not it.

You shouldn't need an incentive to log in because you should be logging in to have fun doing whatever it is you enjoy doing, for some people that's creating wrecks out of other peoples ships for others its building and managing your own little commercial enterprise and for others its to help conquer the galaxy or to lead the people trying to conquer the galaxy.

Its not about levels its about whatever you find fun.

No, it won't and we've tried on many occasions to point it out to you but you refuse to listen. If CCP opened a second server it would make no difference after a few months and power blocks would form on the new server just like the old. Those who can't hack it on TQ still wouldn't be able to keep space on the new server either. Also they would lose the majority of their very loyal playerbase almost overnight. net profit to CCP negative most of their cash flow.

its not funny anymore so you can stop saying it. 1 server is one of EVE's selling points, get rid of that and you lose money.

ok acording to your logic how would you have enough isk to pay for your next skill book point that costs oh... 70 million isk?

oh yaaaaaaa, playing the game. hmmm now that you can fly command ships, how are you going to aford one? oh yeah play the game... getting faction to get higher missions agents to get good loot to use or to sell or to reprocess or to trade. (and thats just the combat type) there are more directions you can head, miner, manufactoring, trading, hauling, scouting, just to mention a few
