Are you sure thats the only change in crafting? i think maybe you should take another look friend :) You didn't notice the craft up to a 100 at a time button? so that it makes advancing in crafting less of a grind? which in turn encourages more players to craft armour and such so that they dont have to trade :) Take for instance myself..i made 20 sets of studded leather last night so that i have plenty when i die. so even if it has only made a difference to myself ( which i am pretty sure more think the same ) then it has still cut down naked pvp by at least 1 player! Also it has encouraged me not to go farm goblins for rank 0 short swords, as they do less damage now. So i have invested in some rank 20 weapons. So again a positive move by AV. |

Do you play the game or just trolling, the armor got a big buff to all resists, and jewelry got buffs to arcane(only non reg spell dmg type there is) and lower rank weapons got anerf, while higher ones got a boost.
People are complaining pve didnt change much because they fight naked with newb weapons, I took a new r20 mob dropped and owned some of the hard mobs in game with banded one. And with a r20 bow was doing massive dmg to very prepatch hard mobs.

I agree, any new player just joining will be kind of insane to go on to EU-1 unless he is EU-1, but NA-1 will be very balanced, considering by the time its release most things will be balanced out and perhaps a skill cap. I mean people are finding these spell/skill/stat books a lot, so after 3 months on NA-1 you will have very good and competition like characters. So EU-1 transfer will not be the gods coming in.
I am staying on EU-1 but I was thinking of getting a alt on NA-1 to get a head start. I am also waiting on reviews of MO first before I buy a second account, also maybe one more patch in dfo, will make it, to see where they are heading and how long(if its not to late) it will take to get there.

How does the armor resist increase make it cheaper & easier to get? Crafting requirements are still the same for sub mastery Armor. Plus, mobs have lower hit points and decreased damage now. How's that going to help with all the nakeds? (ie my original reply) LTR |

this is a patch not an expansion. By believeing it is just further feeds into Tasos' plan to milk the current player base of money untill they eventually pull the plug |

Apperhently, you care what it's called, unless you wouldn't constantly be defending Tasos unethical choice to call a simple patch and update an "expansion". The overwhelming majority of the mmorpg community know this is not an expansion, but you can go ahead and be a fanboi if you like, we expect nothing less from you..!!

heh well the funny part is a crossword puzzle is far more entertaining then the spamm left click zergfest that DFO is. Also a cw puzzle requires you to think which is something you haven't been doing for quite some time |

What the hell does his gaming skill have to do with whether it's a patch or an expansion?. Another rage-o-holic who just can't resist taking pot-shots at others. Grow up. |

Speaking on a smaller scale I think the random boxes are a good thing. Just last night traveling between two cities with nothing on me by the time I got near my travel location I had 300g on me from the boxes. Someone did chase me down but as it turns out I was too close to the city. Point being, it slightly reduces the chance that a naked will actually have nothing whatsoever on them. That said, I think they are having the random placements a bit too close to the NPC cities. Might be better if they block out those area of from random. does your game have rainbow sprinkles and magic ponies!? |

it is my feeling that it is, HOWEVER, I think a great deal of people are doing exactly what I was doing which is trying to find one of these new villages to just take a look. What I noticed last night (and its far from a scientific study!) is that the pop inside the cities was about the same but the pop out in the general world was higher.

Ok, despite my efforts I cant help but respond to this. Exactly how could one "proove" it in the first place? Speaking for my comment personally I made it pretty clear i would not call what I said a "fact" its just what seemed to be. Regardless, its something that AV could only "proove" so I guess you are out on this game. does your game have rainbow sprinkles and magic ponies!? |

Believe his words, it's true, there is a lot more pvp going on outside cities, even my clanmates and allies have been saying that ever since the patch was released. You may not trust me because I like darkfall but I try not to exaggerate things like a normal fanboy. http://www.youtube.com/FEZNuclear |

With what I highlighted in red. Would this not weaken the idea of full loot? Since there really is no other penalty for dying, except losing your gear and money. With the new crafting system, easier mobs, and more drops from them. I would hope that Aventurine would do something to make death a little more painfull. I know that there were a lot of players that would run naked most of the time and this may stop that, but in the process it weakens one of the main features of the game. At least in my opinion. Thoughts? |
