In all honesty to me is it sounds like this guild is just trying to recruit a lot of members, then in an attempt to well, so to say seperate the "cream of the crop". While the rest just get ignored.  I think any vetran MMO player experianced in end-game guild politics can see through this sharade. It could either be benifit you guys or hurt you guys. Maybe some see it as a way to get good dedicated players in a guild while others may see it as a shisters way to build it up(I am in this category). If its built with the "shisters" way That tends to lead to cetian motives, and hidden agendas with end-game gear.
Time will tell all.

Wrong. I've played in Sons of Numenor in Lotro, massive guild, small sections, mainly only divided by chat channels, if they CHOOSE, but mass of the guild still talks in the general guild channel. I can see maybe in a game like WoW, where having sections to a guild could cause a disconnect. But we are talking about FFXIV here, and if it is modeled after FFXI, the bigger the better. Really it is up to the leaders of each section to make sure they don't have a disconnect.

Also, come to the website and see if this is a "sham" as you so put it. On top of that, we as a newly formed guild, are in the process of voting for what direction to take the guild in. Enough with the naysayers. What's the point of living if you don't take risks? Joining an LS/guild of massive proportions isn't going to be that big of a risk anyway, as some of you are making it seem to be.

we are tring out best to make this guild the best and fun for everyone its not that were going to pick better players for everyone lse we feel that every player in the guild plays a special role unique to that player,  wather its a big role or small everyone in our guid is a big part of  making rapture what it is  everyone has a voice all you need to do it speak up and we will listen we do not wish to pck favs over anyone everyone.

will earn that respect from the leaders as well as everyone else. if you choose not to respect everyone as an equal then maybe we are not the guild for you then. we want everyone in our guild to  have a voice and an option with out retaliation on there part unless they break the rules that is.

if everyone works together as a team player we can make this guild workand make it the best guild ever betet then in any mmorpg ever made but takes  work and for players to get to know eachother but that is the fun part about being a faily in a guild were one anther can truest in the other without worring.  if they will ninja loot kill steal trade item steal from you in trade or jip you in anyway. i feel everyone has a fair shot at being a good leader and role model for the other players even starting the noobs so there wont be somant in the end game factor player need to work as one andnot vs each other for loot being greedy and not caring about other players feeling ect...

To sum it up, we just need a very solid foundation of dedicated players, then add the large numbers to that, then if all those large numbers quit, we'll still have our core solid foundation that makes up the guild.

Now to be part of this solid foundation you have to prove yourself worthy.

Now to the serious news. We are a very active community, willing to accept and happy to meet new members, if you join you are accepted as an equal in our linkshell, minus the leaders. You have to accept the fact that we are the most active Final Fantasy XIV Linkshell in...

We accept European, UK, Canada, United States, Austrailia, and everyone is allowed to join who can speak English either as a first or second language. Effective communication is a must.

This LS is getting better and better. Now we are all planning to play FFXI in the next day or so, all starting at level 1(minus someone who has a character with gil on a server so we can get a linkshell bought right away). Plan is to do the 14 day trial as a group and then go from there if we want until FFXIV launches. So come and join us if you want a fresh start in FFXI.

Wonderful, it will be a chance for the community to get to know each other.

The Midgar server.

We're still recruiting and we are also playing on a Final Fantasy XI server for those who want to join us.

Been having a blast playing FFXI with the new Rapture members. We have about 18 playing FFXI right now, we've been doing missions, garrison and partying in the dunes and beyond like crazy. Good times. Come join us on the Midgarsormr server, LS is called Rapture. Bastok representing. :D

I applied. Playing FFXI again sounds interesting its been a few years.

Awesome, and welcome. We have about 100 members registered at our forums now, and more hopefully to come. Hopefully more of those will join us on Midgarsormr, we're having a blast.

We're on Facebook, Twitter, FFXIAH.com, but yeah, we'll have 100 members on August 1st like I predicted. We only have 98 for now, but yeah, that's close enough to 100.

After the last 2 days, we're over 100 now. Awesomeness. We are even possibly having a member attend the Tokyo Game Show in September, and he's gonna pimp our LS out to SE, heheh. Can't hurt to try, is what I always say.

Good news! At this moment, we don't have 100 registered  users, but we'll have 100 today or tomorrow. Currently  exactly 99. And yes, that is good news that we'll have someone attend the Tokyo Gameshow! W00t!                

There! 102 members and growing. Even faster than I had thought we would. Oh, also in a 5/6ths full LS party in the dunes, working my way up to 20 to get my chocobo liscence.

When are you going to roll onto FFXI with us? We need to get people who are playing that right now to join as well. I love having a huge LS in FFXI, tons of people to do stuff with.

son of a monkey's uncle! So I wasn't sure if I'd have the funds to cover the second month if Square billed me, and because of that, I canceled my content ID but I was able to play up until today. I decided to wait till August 1st(today) to see how much I was charged. So I'm good, I can cover it, but I now, have to wait to reactivate my content ID for their stupid billing system to stop calculating bill payments rofl. Hopefully I can resub tomorrow.

Anyway, I digress. This is one of the biggest problems FFXI has. The stupid playonline system and the strange backwards way Square does their billing cycle. So glad they have realized this sucks and are getting rid of this very problem for FFXIV.

They are only 5 years too late with it. Just thought I'd share.

I wish MMORPG would add a guild section so you guys could spam bump your thread in there.
