Nice! But, I guess I need to complain. Is a destructible environment to much to ask for? A parking garage can take only so much missle fire. But, it looks excellent!

This had better be real or I will hunt you down. I've been playing since Mechwarrior 1 on my 486. Locust Ninja FTW! I could take down Battlemaster's with the right spec. Get so close to them that they can't bend down to shoot you and ram their legs till they fall over lol. I've never really understood the whole mech thing. Sure it looks pretty, but it also looks rather boring to me. If they mix these in with standard infantry FPS or tank/jeep/plane/chopper FPS I'd be more interested.

You may have noticed the OP edited his post after I said that. He also edited his second post that originally stated "Oops. Wrong video." I was also irritated that it was his second thread start about exactly the same subject within a few hours of each other. It also doesn't help my attitude about it but I was lousy at the game. I had a great deal of difficulty watching a split screen depiction of moving in one direction on the bottom and tracking in another direction in the top of the screen. With a keyboard for control. |

It's not MW5, i'ts just "Mechwarrior" They are restarting the franchise and resetting the IP from the clean slate. Basically the older mechwarrior installment are so old that they are not worthy to be apart of this one's progression in naming. So basically, this is the new "Mech warrior 1", and if they ever make newer ones after this, it will be MW2 and so on. Some people only talk sh!t online. Well most of the battletech/mechwarrior community is referring to it as Mechwarrior 3015. But yeah it is the first in the new series essentially making it Mechwarrior 1. Cheers |

I thought the Xbox version was MW5.
Best news I've had all week I'm a big fan of the Mechwarrior games. Glad to see they have been uncanned.
I hope the gameplay turns out to be true to the trailer. Sim plus first person. And I hope the GFX are on a similar par to that CGI, although that won't be a deal breaker for me if they aren't. |
