They added the LMB camera rotation around your character? That's good news. |

After 2 months bashing this game daily on these forums you're still playing it to know about the latest translation? Impressive. Just because I have some negative things to say about it, doesn't mean I don't like it. Rather, I choose a more realistic approach--I like the game but realize that it has problems. Very often, the problem with zealous fans is that they interpret any negative comment about their game as bashing. It's not.
I do consider myself as an Aion fan, I do enjoy this game and the huge ammount of possibilities it offers for guilds like mine, I would not call myself zealous though, I only respond to vague posts, don't tell me aion sucks, tell me why it sucks, then we might have a discussion going. The problem is that every time I tell you what I consider to be a problem, you and others automatically accuse me of trolling and of being a hater, something that you implied in an earlier post. So you tell me, why should I bother if anything ever remotely negative is being met with hostility and downright hatred?

Don't say you and others unless you can provide an example.
Hatred? lol, don't play the victim dude, nobody is forcing you to be exposed to such a hard enviroment as the one you're describing. |

So i couldnt get myself to read all the replys but i know this feeling alot so i wanted to share my opinion with you [OP]. I think the problem is you shouldnt be playing some huge MMO but probally some multiplayer game. Because for some reaspon all mmo's are grinds - everything is about the same with a slight variation and there is atm not a big chance for change. Its mostly - kill mobs for xp or skill so you increase your capabilities or do some quests that usually represent you killing mobs on order either because its kill x of x or because some npc lost his pet doggie while wandering around a dragon invested cave and he wants you to get it for him, meaning offcourse you have to kill everything in the cave before you find the mut.. now i know theres people out there saying, OW! but hey dude theres x game that does x different - or even smarter guys that say ow but what do you expect its a game-type about progression where you start somewhere and end somewhere and do stuff in the middle... i agree this is both true.. but im still baffeled at the lack of inovation and good ideas. Guild wars gave a small example on how 1 miniscule part of the gameplay could be changed by saying.. hey! why dont we let people level to max of 20 , make it be lvl to 20 ina few days then allllll the content after that is for your lvl 20.. so.. that was new. Theres however a ton more things that could be varied to try something new. Now there i go again ranting about something not even close to on the subject at hand, but still - i wanna throw some air out! :P [edit after 20minutes] ok n/m i was typing and typing and all of a sudden it just didnt seem good to post it here, il just make a thread somewhere else and put it in :P |

So far Aion looks great to me. The only real gripe that I have is that I'll have to PvE to 25 before I get the chance to PvP. From that point on it sounds like a dream, especially with XP from PvP they introduced recently. But that's easily fixable I suppose... Just put 3 or so instanced BGs for levels 1-25 and I'll be a happy puppy. Nothing annoys me more than having to do the same old boring quests and "storylines" (meh) for each alt... But I guess WAR spoiled me in that respect - create a char, press that scenario button 1 sec after logging into the world and off you go. I could never EVER go back to the "PvE so you can PvP" crap again, but I'll make an exception for Aion. /oh I just learned about the Colliseum. Cool. If there are several versions of it and you can advance xp there I AM a happy puppy. |

Lemme just elaborate on this. The guy being quoted in the above quote is fulla crap, obviously. Or completely ignorant and imperceptive? Whatever... but he's presenting himself as some kind of authority with actual experience. In Aion if you move forward you get +20% damage bonus, if you move back you get a bonus to block and sidestep gives you a dodge bonus. Jumping while attacking gives you a combo of buffs/debuffs. Additionally there's loads of bonuses to be gained in positional attacks and not only for the rogue type classes. What is wrong with this site? Who are those people posting here ffs? |

Hah... sounds like they were inspired by a certain ....www.ageofconan.com This is a sequence of characters intended to produce some profound mental effect, but it has failed. |

Aion is much more skill based from what we've heard from level 50's than most MMO's. There is the fast paced combat, the moving bonuses for forward/back/strafe, the flight time management, etc, etc. If you read through kilkil's post you will see some of why this game seems to be much more skill based than other MMO's. Hell their group of 6 defeated a full force of 24 people. That says something. |

Really I thought everybody had heard about this by this point. Yes you get a bonus in damage moving foward, a bonus to defense moving backward, and a bonus to dodge moving sideways.

They told me I'd never survive, but survive was my middle name. |
Wait until the game is launched to judge it, we're missing features in the beta test. It is a good game, albeit is it like WoW in alot of ways but it takes other mechanics and systems and incorporates them into the game the right way. Honestly though innovation is scarce in MMO's, and the next big innovative MMO will be Star Wars. Aion still is a good game and worth playing over the next few years. The things NCsoft does for Aion is hands down costing them alot of money and effort to make a good game. Weather it be for money, or because they probably care about their game and want people to like it...Probably both.
But they did make an effort to incorporate story, modern mechanics, and character development in ways other MMO's do not, even World of Warcraft.
Aion is *not* Point n' Click, it's WASD, but you can choose to PNC, although it becomes pointless after a certain point. Playing: Age of Conan, Aion: Tower of Eternity.

The little changes in stats you see in this games gear mean a lot more than the +2500 armor you'd see in other games like WoW. To the newer players not used to this, it might seem like very little difference seeing only +4 to a weapon, +14 to magic boost or adding +6 evasion....why overcomplicate going into quadruple digits to feel powerful. I can tell a difference in a full set of regular store bought item...and the green player crafted items.
Thats a funny statement when you look at the currency system in the game which could easily be divided buy a factor or 100 or even 1000
Yeah, the currency is pretty annoying. I'm sure it has to do with S. Korean (and most country's) currency having many digits compared to the dollar. |

your whole info is wrong wow is a clone of eq and other mmo. aion was not trumphed as being a wow killer/inovatiave what makes it better than wow its not dumbed down. people need to break from there wow is the uber mmo just cause its got 11million people who dont like a challenge syndrome and playsomething where u have to think alaas fallen earth. aion is good ill sub to it but mostly due to fact the game is just good basic fun. even in the closed beta very few bugs i ran into and most them was more of missing updates they haddent put in yet. so for all those who say they hate aion cause its like wow then why u playing wow? hell why are u playing mmo in first place? ask yourself that and think also get some facts straight before u going posting stuff. and c9 will be a p2p game just for the reason the game engine and develeement costs are up on par with games like aion. |

Dude the op is obviously lieing and NEVER PLAYED THE GAME. Why do i know this, easy, becuase he didn't say aion is the god game, god made it himself, he didn't say he had issues with wettish pants like five times in 3 minute after first logging in. This is obviously a a troll , made a mmorpg account and posted 311 times just to troll on aion, obviously. Ill tell you my reasoning, i know becuase i knowz it. /sarcasumz off Ok why post this because i been read post both i like and dislike aion and in everyone of them were someone says i don't like aion, there like 500 aion mafia posters who type junk and then type /sarcasums off So i figure why not just do it to all the posts even the positive and middle line ones after all they hold about as much weight.
