Funcom will be presenting information and in-game footage of the new expansion at the event, which runs from August 19th to August 22nd. What do you think Funcom has in store for us with their new expansion? Let us know in the comments! Michael "MikeB" Bitton |

I'm asking because -as with the actual game- there might be some major differences again.

I don't know what it is... but I hope it's Khitai. I've always wanted to see more of Khitai. |

If they add a new PvP system, once remotely as cool as DAoC's or even WAR's, I'm in.
The current PvP on core servers REQUIRES you to be a part of big, cold, impersonal, lame guilds. There's no room for our small guild playstyle in AoC. If they fix that, we're so back. |

Funcom still have plenty of fixes to do before charging for a paid expansion. But on the other hand if they don't charge anything we wouldn't get it. I personally am excited about this!
My guess is that it will be released only when it is finished this time around.

Pretty sure I'll be buying it too. Depends on the content though. I hope there's content for all level ranges since I'm sure I still won't be max level (just started a week or two ago). They've been faithful to the setting so far, though, and I will continue to support that. Prax |

Not interested Funcom, you owe me $1133.78 for the orignal that is still not doing what you said it would a year ago. |

I think that this should be offered free to all loyal players that have an un-interupted subscription since launch...would beat the lame low level necklace we got.... |

Aye, here's hoping. That would be pretty neat. I've been registered here a long time, I read daily. I just don't have much to say. |

Originally posted by Draccan Can't wait to be able to buy expansion. I have lost interest to play after first month or two, mainly because of memory leaks, lag, ... etc. Have purchased new 9600GT just to be able to play AoC but there were to many problems. And Funcom treated players as dumb asses. But it is impressive how good and how fast fixes later come out. They fired the right guy and replaced him with also right guy. Since then everything is shining more and more. :-) And I'm sure they will do all possible for expansion to have cleaned bugs as much as humanly possible. Otherwise I will have no problem to wait few months to be cleaned up. :-) All pros are much much much more then all cons. The worst however is lag or disconnects as they effectively prevents playing. Is not fun every hour or half to run 15 mins back to tombstone. |

If it's good, I might come back to the game :) Heat, pressure and time. The three things that make a diamond, also make a waffle. |

Datadisk is main thing AoC needs, only problem is content and/or features right now and rework of PvP flags. I think I will buy datadisk but my decision will be made when I see feature list! _____________________________ |

Funcom fooled 1 million gamers to buy an unfinished product. And for the money they got - they are creating a payed expansion to rip more ppl off. Thats loyalty to the gamers for you. Thats Funcom. |

Ah, well they've already mentioned an expansion ages ago.
It's set in the eastern world of Khitai (Hyborias version of far east Asia). Hopefully it will be cool chinese/korean stuff and lacking in the lame japanese samurai crap! Tried: WoW |

It has a lot of potentail. Maybe they could make some new servers, one where you lose xp or gold on death mayhaps?
But I swear to F-in god, I will not buy this game if I see Erling Erlingston hyping this shit. WHY they have not fired that lighting rod is beyond me.. Shadowlord Sage Napa Valley, UO, 1997. |
