I would just like to give a shout-out to AmazingAvery for being so vigilant on these boards and bringing back hoards of players through intelligent rebuttals and his posts endorsing the revamped game. I recently came back a month ago and I am absolutely in love with the game. Robert E. Howard is probably the only fantasy author who has written tales that speak so strongly to human nature and the true darkness that lies within. That results in an insatiable fascination with Conan lore. Funcom has accurately depicted that in this game.

I have come from every mmo imaginable from Asheron's Call to Second Life beta (it was soooo badass back then) to WoW to EQ2 to Darkfall to Poxnora to Age of Conan. I have a varied experience with the genre and have been upset with the lack of depth in the recent games. I played AoC after release (being a Conan nerd) and I hated it. It was unplayable and i felt inferior because of my lackluster Vaio. Well now I have the new macbook pro and i loaded up bootcamp and have Windows 7 and I have to say that I am very pleased with the performance. It's like playing a completely different game.

Anyway, to make this shorter than longer, TRY the game and don't listen to naysayers who haven't played in a while. If you are a naysayer, please come back and try the changed game. The only barrier is the fact that this game is freaking huge.

Buy cheaper coasters.  Thats if the table you use is more expensive.

i tried another AoC trial after the big patch....

DX10 wouldn't even work without me rolling back my drivers, which i  am not about to do...as for everything else....i looked exactly the same and still played the same....

First time around with buggy/half-complete game:

High enough to experience much of the game and low enough to not be a fanatic player attempting to find fun in a game that is clearly lacking it.

I deleted my old character and restarted after trying the trial to allow myself to experience it completely from a new viewpoint.

Zoning and instancing are different. There are not multiple zones of the same area (Tarantia 1, Tarantia 2, Tarantia 3).

That is instancing

Zoning is having a loading screen between areas. They are completely different things but commonly mistaken.

yes considering where am i, since i am on a "Age of Conan" forum, im more likely to listen to someone who actually plays the game and laud it rather than someone who does not play the game, hate it, but still spending the better part of his days on its forums bashing it which is kind of spooky.

the fan boy i can understand, he wants people to try his fav game using a FREE trial because he is confident they are gonna like it and stick with it.

but the hater i can not digest, what is he so afraid of? if he is so confident that the game stinks that bad, then why spend all this time and energy preventing people from using a FREE trial? cause if he is right, people will just use the trial, have a good laugh and leave right after they discover how "useless" that game is, unless he thinks everybody else is not as smart as he is and nobody can reach that ultimate truth but himself...

Umm, having nearly a 1000 posts about a game that you have not played in a long time is obsessive. [Mod Edit] There is a time to let go.

For example, I was very disappointed by WAR after buying copies for a couple of friends. Life moves on. Check my posts about WAR in the WAR forums. You will not find many and none in the last few months. I prefer to look forward in life.

So the game is better now? how is sieges going?  what are people doing at 80 in pvp? still is keshata prettyt much the only pvp map? has ben keshata recreated to be a better pvp map? 

I am curious.  I hate Funcom, but not really the game. The game was fun for lot of levels, till it stoped to be fun. 

I left because of one reason, they reduced boob size.   Is this fixed yet?

Nice going with the back-pedal edit, did you remove that flame because you found the source  of my McQuaid comment and was not 'made by a sick person wishing harm on others'?

Maybe that mis-step can teach you to check posting histories more carefully, I think you'll find very few of my entries actually criticize the Age of Conan game. And I think you won't find a single post telling anyone not to play it. All your basis for slandering others seems to come from your imagination.
