Questions gathered from the official Stargate Worlds forum community have been answered by Khestral, the game's Director of Quality Assurance.

Some new tidbits of info on the lore:

The setup for each of the archetypes is as follows: The SGC: with the defeat of the replicators and the Goa'uld, there is a movement to close down Stargate Command. Without Woolsey's knowledge or consent, Hammond has begun an alliance of the Free Jaffa, the Asgard and the remnants of the SGC and called it the Stargate Union. The Free Jaffa are beginning their work prepping for elections and the creation of a government. The Asgard have begun secretly trying last-ditch efforts to stave off their inevitable death and also determine whether the humans are truly ready to become the fifth race.

The Praxis is made up of The New Mind Goa'uld, the Loyalist Jaffa and Op-Core. The New Mind Goa¹uld. Children of Queen Anat, have begun to plan for their return to galactic power. The Loyalist Jaffa join them as a military arm, but are not slaves. Op-Core is freed from imprisonment on the Castle and warned of an impending doom from the future. Op-Core joins the Praxis because they promise to support Op-Core to defeat the threat from the future.

At the game's start, the Praxis is looking for ways to fight off the threat from the future. SGC is trying to figure out what the Praxis is doing, and Jack O'Neill has gone missing.

Answering a question about the Archeologist's role in PvP and raid combat, Khestral responded that no particular role had been set yet for PvP, but that their role in raids would reflect their current role in regular play.

Yeah, amazing how someone who follows the game closely might notice something before people who have almost 300 games to watch...

Seriously, we report this stuff as soon as it becomes known to us.

Possibly a good reason someone from the community at large should step up and offer to be the MMORPG SGW correspondent, so the editors at large can focus on the broad view -and- updates arrive in a timely fashion.
