SOE could somehow make this the greatest game ever, but that would not make the fact that they f*cked over their player base disappear . . .and that's why I don't play it. I don't give a sh!t how good the game is now or ever. |

It's a non linear mmorpg with linear character progression, problem is I liked the non linear character progression of the skillbox system. I know my friend who started with WoW woulda loved that too because he loves EVE now purely for the skill system. |

I get the chance to speak to many of them in game and there is a recurring trend of SWG seeing an influx of WoW burnouts looking for a more engaging game world to play in, and SWG delivers that. There is also plenty of sandbox gameplay in SWG, a number of my friends have put together awesome creations via the story teller system and run fun events.

If there are people comming, it could be people that want to "play TOR before TOR is released". These people will not stay, as for today standards SWG is very rough. |

After that being said. I'm also checking in now and then to see if the feeling is back. Got a couple new good friends but 3-400 on my old friend list is still offline. So if this game is so awesome, why don't more people play? There are millions and millions of players who were not around to experience the nge and a large chunk of them are looking for a new game. Why are they not playing? Why are they not being marketed to? I think the changes to the game the last 4 years have shown that people are not coming back. If people were going to come back they would have already. The fact that the game is merging servers and people are spot lighting the TWO servers with decent population... again... says the game isn't attracting new players from a pool of millions. So again I say, if the game was so great, better than the rest of the market as you put it, then it would sell itself and more people would play.
Thank you for your opinions though.

Well SOE can do all they can not to lose the fight agaist Bioware, but Biowares KOTOR will still win. The only way that SOE can win in the future is to fire all employes and change their name then start looking more at what the community says. And also when making a mmo from a movie they should hire entusiasts that love it, not people who just want to make money. |

First off, I am not a bitter veteran, but the game cannot be better than ever because you are stil typecast in a class/level stigma with your character. Sure they have improved many areas, I still play the game, I do space engagements on the weekends is about all. The best thing about the old game, if I grew tired of my character, I could just change his skillset. Now I have no choice in this area at all. So as long as they have the class/level restrictions, they can never make this game better than it was. |

Ouch!... all these colors ... must stop. Please try to use other style. Since the wysiwig editor is somewhat broken, use the code editor. Avoid adding a billion colors. |

I began 3 days after it launched, I left due to NGE. I have come back a few times but not stuck, until now. What SWG does uniquely, it does better than any MMO out today. Is it as good as PRE NGE, no, never. But it is still a very good, very fun, very deep game. It is on par,or better than most of the stuff on the market today, and I am excited to log in every day again. The player base is great. The transfers made the top servers feel exciting again. The itemization and crafting are better than ever. Combat is ok, not bad, not PRE NGE, but good. Overall it's worth playing again, if for nothing else just to hear the music as you log in :) |
