Most people quote, but i shall not!

(WARNING!! This post is for warning people about the cash shop, BUT IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT* for the purpose of bashing the game OR the community, as both of them are AWESOME!! - This is just to warn people (especially younger gamers) about gambling-cash-shop so that they don't end up in a difficult situation )

YUUUUP!

Its random, its LUCK!!

AND* I ''LOST'' :D heheh.....

Bought 12 black tesla boxes, thinking that i AT LEAST ONE* of em would pop the mount that i was dreaming of (nothing special, just a mercury raider that MOST people i meet seem to HATE  coz  of its looks, but i wanted it coz it was different than the standart horse&mount stuff).

U buy those 12 boxes for about 12000 gold on the item mall, which costs 100$ United States Dollars.... (packed together, otherwise it would be 120 dollars)

INSTEAD; I got lots and lots of loot such as vials, and crystals to upgrade my mercenaries etc....

*BUT i really didnt want em, all i wanted was a mount:(

So i tried to trade em in for a mount like the *armored mounts or stuff, but people seem to  want hard cash for their mounts, OR trading their mounts for YET better mounts,,, so not much luck for me here.....

IN THE END; i got the mount i wanted WITH THE HELP OF SOME PLAYERS through some other means and lots of trading... err...

BUT THE BUTTOM LINE IS:

You might get what u want at first, or at twentieth OR  MORE tries,,,

Its RANDOM, ITS LUCK **ITS GAMBLING!!**

AND  i learned my lesson, from now on im never ever gonna spend cash on online gambling again,,, because the worst part is FOR SOME PEOPLE IT CAN GET ADDICTIVE!! (Seriously, thats not good)

--OTHERWISE

THIS IS THE *BEST FREE-TO-PLAY GAME I EVER PLAYED,

with an AWESOME  COMMUNITY of players that really help you all the way whenever you need help and give you lots of presents :D

Just be warned about the item mall GAMBLING,

and remember, ur not guaranteed to win what you want even if you pay *200 dollars for a single item in hopes of getting it....

PS**

Finally: the game is also offering services for cash such as permanent inventory extansions etc,, that u buy for ONCE and can use forever,, AND there is no gambling involved here, no luck necessary, just buy and enjoy, so its not all that bad:D

Thanks for proving our point about how bad RMT system is. You just spent $100 in one month on a game to obtain a specific item that you wanted, and yet didn't get it.

LOL, cheaper than P2P my foot....

K

Thx

Agreed - not only is it cheaper - it doesn't trigger the gambling gene.

Free means it cost you nothing at all - the OP just detailed how it cost him over $100.

Correct, we need people paying for this stuff so that it can be free for those of us who know better!

Haha, he's saying the OP paid to keep the game alive so he (Redline65) can keep playing for free without ponying up cash to help keep the game alive.

Uh, that's sort of the whole business model behind F2P games. The few who pay for the cash shop crap keep the game free for the majority who don't.

Op here;

just to clarify, here is a quote from my own opening post:

''AND i learned my lesson, from now on im never ever gonna spend cash on online gambling again,,, ''

ANd YES, somebody has got to pay so that these games keep on being free for the rest of the population,, but i think i have done my part MORE THAN ENOUGH!! HEHEHEHh..... so from now on,, no cash shop for me, as i said, i learned my lesson:)

Also, there seem to be quite a lot of people who actually keep on paying those 100 (ish-up&down) bucks every once in a while,, so apperantly, either they dont regret it, or they gone addicted,, BUT EITHER way, its their choice, what can i do? ALTHOUGH, especially if ur a kid.. i think mommy and daddys gonna be real pissed off at the end of the month:D :D

Yeah, that's actually what's bad about this game.  Unlike other Free to Play games I've played, this relies very heavily on gambling. What's worse, you're gambling blind, you don't even know the odds.

Even the collectible game industry (cards, like Magic The Gathering, or various minaiture games) would guarantee getting so many rare or very rare items in a given amount.

Anyway, if you really want something, and want to use money to get it, it's probably best to buy items, sell them for gold, and use the gold to buy said item.  You'll pay more than just one box (obviously), but in the long run, it's better.

For instance, I guess you wanted a Mercury mount? They go for about a billion.  Buying 4 blessing licences and selling them would probably give you enough for one. Or the ori stones, they seem to be how most people sell CS stuff for money. (Though I might add, actually using them is also gambling)
