Hey. Got a question for you guys. Which is the most anticipated MMO coming that that is actually supposed to be good. I've heard a few good things about Aion and Swotr. So really, what are the good new MMO's coming out and what do you guys think will be better Aion or Swtor.

Hey, I'm pretty sure that were all looking forward to Aion and Swtor. I think the general vibe here is (Correct me if I'm wrong) That we're thinking Swtor will be the next big thing. If played correctly.

Aion is actually in beta in china. People here have keys and are trying it out now. I'm sure there are loads of stuff about it on the Aion forums here.

Niether one will be " The Next Big Thing ". But that doesn't mean they won't be good either. They don't have the mass appeal that games like WoW or EQ has.

But going off a hunch. I'd say TOR will be very big here in the west simply because it's Star Wars. So I've got my money on TOR (though I don't plan on playing it ).

Indeed. Nothing can crush the...advertising behemoth. But we will get a fairly decent play from both games I'm thinking.

The thread is about gameplay, not how many subs they can get.

I know what Aion is all about since I've played it and honestly, I'm not a huge fan. It's a decent game with some nice visuals but it just doesn't grasp me for some reason.

As far as SWTOR goes, I haven't played it, so I'm not sure what it's all about. I like Star Wars, I think that the setting is fun and I was a huge fan of Knights of the Old Republic I and II plus Bioware is known for making really good games so I am a bit excited about it.

I can't tell you which one is better though, having played only Aion.

Besides that, Mortal Online, Jumpgate Evolution and Black Prophecy look fun.

Hm, Aion is supposed to be out in September? Anyone know when the Open beta will be?

EQ doesn't have mass appeal, everyone thinks its a geeks game and finds it a generic faantasy world and EQ games wont ever be popular. Star Wars The Old Republic will probably be as big as WoW is in the wetern world cause most the subs are from China. Thats if its good.

You can already play Aion for free on Asian servers. Just google a little (im lazy, sorry).

I dont like it much, its like RYL with better Gfx but less fun.

I hope Star Wars will be good, until then I go with warhammer.

in my eyes, SWTOR will be exactly like any other KOTOR game. that means it will be nice for a while, but it will fail because, lets face it, a multiplayer game simply cant grant you the same eperience of a single player game that revolves around you.

plus, being a big PvP fan, i highly doubt SWTOR will make me feel at home when we all know its like WoW, a highly focused PvE game that will use PvP as a secondary gimmick

also who exactly is imitating NCSoft? themselves? and who exactly did they imitate when they released Guild Wars?

if NCSoft imitated WoW, they would make a game with such a terrible PvP that would make me puke all over my screen...and i know thats not true since i have played Aion and i know their PvP is good. maybe the concet sounds alien for you, "good pvp", u gotta try it sometimes,its really fun when your game doest suck

not to mention that WoW has copied every single successful feature ever brough by another game,as Blizard always do with all their games...embarrasing i know, and still they are defended by masses of idiots
