I hope people keep cancelling in Asia until they wisen up. Buying of video sites to censor is disgusting. That is all, just doing my part. Flame on. |

Have no clue what you mean but if I were NCSoft and there were videos of how to hack a product I made, i sure as hell would delete them instantly and I for one would appreciate it. I would rather not have those types of videos up and available to teach others how to do it. Fan sites: Official sites: |

Yeah, let's just allow all how-to hack and what-hacks-do videos to remain online, because they speed up the process of fixing current flaws in the code that allow hacking... not. If the videos get reposted underground, that's where they deserve to be, not on the main video streamers. |

part of the biggest issue with the hacking is the gameguard they use. It is supposed to work like warden from blizz, but is easily tricked. Once they have a better anti-hack measure up, and in game people to report it just like in other games the stuff will be addressed. There is hacking in every game so don't kid yourself.
For 3 months in WoW a hack existed that allowed hunters to teleport around all 3 dire maul instances at a high Z axis allowing full loot to kills and no damage ever returned. It tanked the economies of all servers, and was a terrible problem, but blizzard finally fixed the issue and all was well.
The worst hack I can remember was in Ultima Online with just duping anything, and pulling outside game files in game allowing someone to have a curser locked down in their house. It happens, and people either move on or they stay. Just look at darkfall for example, there are videos of people stealing boats and flying them through mountains, and people still avidly defend that garbage. Have fun, and play or don't. No one is forcing you to play any game at any time.

the problem is often gameguard and if ncsoft rely on them and gameguard cant find ways to stop hack ncsoft should just do like silkroad they dont pay gameguard anymore .why should they the game is hacked weter they pay gameguard or not might as well work on a inhouse solution instead of bothering with 3 party who in the end dont prevent hack |

not to troll or anything, but back on this topic, the betaboards had this very same issue in the suggestion box, some 10-15 pages i believe of people asking for gameguard to be removed....food for thought ![]() |

Instead of wasting money trying to stomp out videos..oh gosh....maybe they should use that revenue to better police/clean up their game? Dunno just a thought....
Either way it shouldn't effect NA players. ![]() "Small minds talk about people, average minds talk about events, great minds talk about ideas." |

I agree that informing the player base is the most efficient way,it is a good way to FORCE the developer to act. However it is also a bad thing ,because there is always lurking in the dark, several new wannabe cheaters, who will be all over any posted sites. There is no real answer to favor either side. The thing is this,if the players complain for a long enough time and no action has been taken,in other words no effort at all by the developer, then it is time to FORCE their hand by posting the cheat sites for all to see the problem.Sure it may make the problem even worse, but that sometimes is the ONLY way to force a developer to get off their lazy asses and do something. I have no longer been supporting P2P games,i do not like to pay them for their laziness and don't care attitude.Sure F2P games are often worse, but at least i am not supporting it by paying money. The other way to force a developers hand is by mass exodus,if tons start canceling accounts and leaving a reason why,the message will hit home loud and clear.Sooner or later game cheating, witch btw is of epidemic proportions, will be looked at seriously when all developers are designing their games. It is an even worse epidemic when you include PVP into the fold, because it can totally ruin a game,to unplayable standards.
