I am in Tokyo, Japan at the moment and will return to US next year. If I play AION I want to make sure I am able to start on US server for when I get back. So anyone here with same situation have any idea if NCsoft blocks other countries they have AION in?

Anyone in Japan playing the US version?

Also which preorder site is just digital download+pre order bonus? Every time I click on the pre purchase option it leads me to order the game for shipping.

Hopefully the beta version can just be patched then used. :)

Whether they're going to do it for NA Aion or not only NCSoft would know.  I would doubt it, but to get a sure answer I recommend you email them.

How about digital download? Is there a recommended place to do this at? For the preorder mainly. All I want is the key and download. Not shipping to my house in Florida where I wont be for 6 months hehe.

I'mif you buy it from NCSoft it's a digital download with Beta access.  I'm not sure how you guarentee you get a US key though.

So I click on that site and it says

There are 6 retailers. None of which are NCsoft direct. Do they all ofter digital downloads somewhere I cannot find? Or am I just not seeing it because of my IP. If so I can try going through a proxy to see it :/

Anyways I got a response from NCsoft. Unfortunately it was an "auto" response that had NOTHING to do with my question haha :(

For the early phases of Aion beta testing, individuals may participate if they had applied and were accepted into the beta event(s), have purchased the Aion Pre-order from a retailer, or they were an active paying customer at the time we announced the closure of Tabula Rasa. These players who were subscribed to Tabula Rasa had an Aion Pre-order code added to their NCsoft master account.

As the testing progresses, I’m sure the Aion Team will expand upon the number of people who are able to participate, however, we do not have any further information as to when this might occur.

I recommend that you look into purchasing a pre-order copy of the game, as this code will allow you to access every beta event which will be scheduled before launch, as well as provide exclusive in-game items!

Here's the reply that i got. because i couldnt activate my beta key(pre-order beta key) it says something like "you cannot access Aion from your  current region"

At this time, the Aion Development Team is reviewing the decision on if cross-region play will become available. As it is right now, I cannot guarantee that you would be able to connect to the US servers from your current location. I do not have a time frame on when this decision will be made, but any future information regarding cross-region play will be posted on the official site here:

Thanks for your prompt reply. When you say the service is not available in my area, does it mean that I cannot access the game servers from where I live? ( thru means such as IP blocking) Or will I be able to access the game servers, but just have to purchase the game and also time cards from the US just like I do now for another of your game City of Heroes. though im not in US I can still play on your servers.
 

NCSoft has stated they have not made the decision as to if they will block IP addresses from outside regions.

i played chinese and im europe
