The full release date for Aion has been announced on the official Aion website. If you're in North America, you'll be able to get your hands on Aion this September 22nd. For the Europeans out there, you'll have to wait a few days until September 25th.

Aion looks ok although I have not played the game yet. I have not been able to see what it looks like with all the graphics turned up. I checked out the movies on the website and read about the game. I don't really think i will buy it simply because i don't want to pay another monthly fee for a game. I would definately buy it if it was free to play like Guild Wars. I am not too interested in the asian look of things either and the large over the top looking weapons. Also the flashy spells are a bit overkill also. After a while it kind of kills the beauty of the game with a hundred flashes going off on screen atthe same time. Things these days games seem to be moving toward pleasing only children. I am definately a kid at heart and run around most people half my age, literally. Games are not just for kids anymore. There does not seem to be anything new looking about this game nor innovative. I suppose I will wait until a trial comes out before i make any further comments. |

Once again EU have to wait longer for release than NA. Now they have used almost a year to translate from Korean to English. Maybe they should have invested more time in making it feel less Korean like the things mikenet707 said. |

The reason they gave for the delay was extremely poor as well. Here it is quoted from Aionsource:

yay, Aion is launching in the same month school is starting again. That's not gonna be good for grades.. hmmm not worth it. I'd rather grind for a good grade than a lvl up |

lol its only a three day delay here in europe . i would nt have been rushing out to by the game for the first few weeks anyway untill i can guage what its like . i must admit it does sound ok though thus far . as for the asian look , that really does nt bother me . i ve played lots of asian games over the years . in fact i prefer it over the cartoony look of warcraft . |

Well, the devs has never gave us this information. Aion brings up features from other mmo's into one game and is doing a good job with that. Hence, about the style, to each their own i suppose but as you stated, yes .. you may wait a trial or try geting into CB/OB first and maybe Aion will change your mind ( I hope it does ) ;) About the releasing news : FINALLY! |

Actually, their reason might be quite valid. Can't speak for Europe, but here in the US they don't call it "New Release Tuesday" for nothing. Traditionally all media, including DVD's, Music CD's and Games are released on Tuesday. WOW launched on a Tuesday as I recall, along with some other games as well. By coincidence, our local jail releases inmates on Tuesday's .... "This is the most intelligent, well qualified and articulate response to a post I have ever seen on these forums. What a load of tripe from NCSoft, retailers in the EU put stiff on their shelves every day of the week. Launch dates are dictated by how the sales charts are calculated, DVD sales are calculated Monday -Sunday, Games Friday to Thursday and movies have been now moved to Wednesday to Tuesday. Games in the US I assume are Tuesday to Monday. NCSoft want a big a place as possible in the 1st week charts and so launch on the 1st day that the chart is calculated, for such a big game NCSoft marketing must not feeling too confident by not wishing to release mid week. |

Wooo! I've been loking forword to this one for a while. |

I think NCsoft is quite confident in Aion. Allowing preorders to play as much as we have been/ will be in the beta of a game that is in essence finished for $5 tells me they think we will pick up our orders on Sept. 22. Not sure how digital orders will be handled but since i went to a physical store and pre ordered i feel at the very worst i can play a new game for quite a few days for a little of nothing and if it sucks i will leave mine at the store. It has to be true, i have internet links. |

Games have always traditionally launched on Tuesdays in the US with Friday releases in the EU. Of course, there has been a few exceptions but that is the way it is. Anyone who has followed gaming for years knows this, NCsoft is not lying here. |

A quote from the announcement: "There is no reason hesitate - ". I lol'ed! If this is any indication of their typing and grammar skills, I'll pass. I have several friends who play the game but they haven't said that it was good or bad. They play it occasionally to keep from becoming bored with the current big MMO. From the screen shots, it looks like the graphics were copied from Guild Wars and I was never impressed with that game or any other game that copied those graphics. I feel like it cheapens the game. I'll certainly give it a try. |

haha true, his whole post is basically negative, then says "i'll give it a try". thats why these companies don't care 'cause people will play it anyway. |

I have a few EU beta keys and I'm from the US. Will I still be able to play on EU servers or will my IP be blocked? |
