I tried many mmorpgs but not one really hooked me for a good amount of time but Runescape, probally because it was my first mmorpg but i haven't played runescape for 2 or 3 years and right now im really bored because its summer and i need a new game that would hold me through the summer and beyond. I like games with huge worlds! where theres lots to explore i dont like lots of grinding but i dont mind a little i dont care if its pay to play or free. I dont like over compeititive games and i dont like games that are always the same like getting a quest killing getting a quest killing getting a quest killing i want there to be lots to do than just the same thing. I also dislike games that are really boring when you first start i know we cant avoid a little bit of boringness when you first begin but i dont want it to be so bad i have to quit. As i said above i think its important enough to repeat i like games with BIG worlds where we can explore. I also dont like games that are really confusing and takes a long time to figure out get used to and takes forever to level. last but not least i like a variety of items, clothes, and weapens i dont like evreybody wearing the same thing. Overall i like a good game with lots of freedom and popularity. I really don't know why i cant find a game that suits me im thinking im a bit to picky but hopefully ill get matched with the right game soon if there is one.

Here's a list of games i tried and how long i lasted:

Runescape: 1 year

Maplestory: 1 month

Runes of magic: 2 days

Trickster: 5 days (Just because i met very nice people)

World of warcraft: 4 months

Dungeon runners: 4 days

Flyff: 2 days (loved the flying concept but way to much grinding)

and much more but the others i dont feel i gave a chance and are welcome for recemendation. Thanks!!!!

Pickles & Cheese!

Okay, well I'm on a roll today when it comes to beefing up Ryzom so I'll start with that one.

Ryzom is a sandbox MMORPG. It's very indepth and pretty. There are four races to choose from, with a somewhat decent character customization. I've really been enjoying the game a lot. It has a 23 day trial (three weeks) and after that it only costs $10.95 USD.

There are a lot of cool things about this game. The crafting & harvesting are pretty unique, and due to lack of repairs, it keeps the crafting useful! The combat is pretty good and while there are no "classes" to choose from, you kind of make up your own class as you go along (as that's one of the points to a sandbox MMO).

Also, a really cool feature is that mobs are not static (as in they don't just spawn in one area). A lot of different mobs migrate. Some mobs move around with the seasons. It's pretty darn cool. From what I understand and have seen, they actually sort of grow. It's pretty cool. I love seeing the animals start migrating across the area I'm in.

As for harvesting, it's pretty indepth, I've got to say. It's really fun, even though its seemingly time consuming. At least its useful! A cool feature to that is that some of the items you may be trying to "prospect" might actually not be available to you given a certain season or time of day.

There's a lot of cool features in the game. Some typical, some not. I think there is a form of housing and there is PVP. Lots of exploration & some grouping. The world is huge from the looks of things, without a doubt. Tons of exploring to do!

The population is somewhat smaller then most games, but it went through some hardships. However, it seems to be expanding a lot. I hear off the "trial island" its hoppin'!

If you like freedom, this will be the game for you. It's all about freedom. It does have grinding, sort of... I mean, it's definitely not a quest-based game, although there are quests (missions), but the game, unlike most games today, is not built around them.

It has a 23 day trial (three weeks) and after that it only costs $10.95 USD. Why not try it out? :P

----------------

Other then that, I'd say look into the following:

- Vanguard: Very large world, but a somewhat small population compared to most games. It had a really bad launch, but they've vastly improved upon it. The crafting is a blast and the combat is good. But be prepared to solo a lot...

- Everquest 2: Very large world, constant/consistent updates & expansions. The crafting in this is great just like Vanguard. The population is pretty decent, especially on the Antonia Bayle server. I never had a problem finding groups or people to hang with.

- Lord of the Rings Online: Great game, gorgeous graphics. The crafting system is kind of blah & usual. Most will say its a WoW clone and it kind of is, but its probably the best WoW clone out there. It's slightly linear, and not as much exploring as one would hope, but it has a great storyline, fun classes and will keep one occupied for quite some time. The population is quite decent as well.

----------------

Keep an eye out on Mortal Online. This looks quite promising as well!

Great to hear! It's definitely worth a good trial if you've never tried it before. It's got some great features to it. :)
