So I heard they're going to make an Elder Scrolls MMO. Any thoughts on how it would work? I'm pretty sure we can't have a normal Obliviion type because the NPCs would all be dead. Perhaps it would have player run government, player guards, etc.? Perhaps NPCs will be incredibly loud when killed, so the guards could hear them? Who knows. I hope it comes out, and it's not a huge subscription every month. I'm DEFINITELY looking forward to it. I heard on the grapevine, whilst at my favorite winery's vineyards, that it was coming out next year.

I would love to see an elderscrolls MMO I have been hoping for such a thing

If they insist on keeping their earth-shatteringly stupid class system, then I really hope they at LEAST double the amount of skills available.

Could you show me this link? It was my understand that there was some conjecture which then was leaning more toward a fallout mmo.

They announced Edler Scrolls V, it won't be an MMO, it will be like the others, if they made it into an mmo the would have to have the whole world of Tamriel involved, which they have little to no stories for all the provinces.

Which is something that would make the MMO great, because they would most likely create the things they're missing.

As far as I know the next Elder Scrolls game will not be an MMO. What is being talked about as an MMO is Fallout.

A quick check on Google provides real information.

Fact: Bethesda Softworks is hiring for a World Builder for Elder Scrolls.(current news item)

Fact: Bethesda Softworks only makes single player RPG's. (per Bethesda themselves)

Fact: The company related to Bethesda (Zenimax Online) that is making an MMO is using an original IP. (From an interview with the lead developer, Matt Firor)

Fact: The Fallout MMO is going to be spending the forseable future in court thanks to Interplay.(old news item)

Its funny how people can be exposed to such different facts and add them up into an Elder Scrolls MMO.

They will probably drop the fallout mmo project as it will probably be bad.

I'm not sure I like the idea of an Elderscrolls MMO. There are few enough good single player RPGs for the PC as it is. I always looked forward to the next Bethesda release, but I'm not sure they need to be tackling the beast that is MMO games.

What if they were able to incorporate an Oblivion/Morrowind type of world into an MMO?

How amazing would that be?

I think it would blow WoW out of the water..the only thing they lack compared to WoW is a class system and PvP..which can easily be arranged via the arena.

If bethesda really wanted to they could make an insane MMO but since they always make singleplayer games they prob wont make an MMO of any of their games

I would like to play a TES MMO. I hope the next TES game includes more vampire quests or better yet, that the whole game main story turns around a vampire story.  The option of turning into a werewolf in Bloodmoon expansion was a blast. Looking forward for TES V.

Long time ago I heard something about the Eye of Argonia,  before Oblivion was released, but so far nothing about it.

And I hope they don't. Having to do a stupid assinine quest for a cure every damn time I got turned into a vampire was not fun or enjoyable and was one of my major gripes with Oblivion.
 

 there goin 2 most likely gonna have 2 make some npcs none fightable. But i have a feeling its goin 2 turn out something like darkfall except with lvls and ur class choosing.

And who's fault is that? You did have 3 days of in game time to take a Cure Disease potion, don't blame them for something you weren't smart enough to do.

I thought it was one of the best quest lines in the whole game.
