as far as i know i have toi pay $50 bucks to buy his game... then do i also HAVE to pay monthly? |

Yeah, you buy retail DVD (and/or maybe online download in the future). Then pay fixed monthly subscription (NA/EU) to be able to play. It should let you have approx 1 month free subcription when you buy the retail DVD, so people don't feel ripped off. But who know what will actually happen. In an ideal scenario it would be something like: |

Most games (not the Guild Wars of course) are = buy software, pay a sub. Nothing unusual about the process. |

Thank goodness this game follows the P2P model (Pay to Play). So far the market has shown that F2P (Free to Play) games are of inferior quality than their P2P equivalent by a big margin. This might change in the future, but as it stand now P2P equals some margins of quality above F2P games (especially for long term players). |

F2P has it's place and many are enjoyable but I agree 100%. I welcome a monthly sub (reasonably priced) to get good content. |
