I can't seem to find the answers I'm looking for anywhere. 1. Is there PvP outside the Abyss? (and besides this "instanced PvP" I've read about) 2. Can you attack and/or "friendly duel" your own faction? 3. Is it possible to enter the opposing faction's realm/area? I've read in another thread that you may not enter the opposing faction's starter areas (probably to avoid TOO much ganking by higher level players) and that satement seems to imply that it is possible to travel to other areas belonging to the opposing faction, whether for item/monster hunting or for PvP purposes. I just think it would be pretty sick to be able to roll up into your enemies own area and start wreckin their shit without having to go to nuetral ground i.e. the Abyss hehe. From what I read, this is true past level 20-25 or something, not sure on exact level. BTW: Welcome to MMORPG.com (as I see its your first post) and good to see another Zeppelin fan around, D'Yer Mak'er is an awesome song. There are two types of people in this world. Thank you thank you. Yeah that is a good song, puts ya in a good mood heh. Thanks for the answers but im still not clear on the whole pvp outside the abyss deal. does this mean a player can enter the other factions realm at anytime? the only other mmo ive ever played in depth was WoW (70 undead rogue) and there you could go anywhere you like, it just might be a little dangerous venturing out of your own factions areas of control. id love to see this kind of freedom in Aion, I love PvP. I've read about rifts but this seems to be situational. I'm assuming you cant just fly straight up to the other realm but can anyone answer this question in more depth if possible? thank you also I am putting together a new pc with some very good hardware but I am curious to see how the optimization is in this game. It looks beautiful and theres few better feelings than maxing out every graphics slider available and enjoying a games true potential. im sure many will agree :) |

1. Yes you can PvP outside of the Abyss. Demon can enter angel's realm through "portals" which opens every two hours.(and vice versa) One portal will only allow certain number of people (I want to say 50, but I am not 100% sure) to pass through. There are more than one potential area for the portal to open up, and not all portals open up. So you have to take your chances to ride the portal. 2. Yes you can "friendly duel" your own faction. This will not affect your abyss point or your exp. 3. Yes it is possible to enter the opposing faction's realm/area through "portals" which I mentioned. Also you mentioned that portals don't open up for newbie zones which is true. There are two zones in each faction's realm which will take you to the other side. |
