lol if i had to go google something everytime somebody doesnt prove what they said in the title, then i wouldnt even be coming here anymore. You made the claim, you back it up with the info. Dont make the readers go out and find their own info.

The art style of the game is highly influenced by this guy, Hyung-tae Kim: http://www.hyung-taekim.org/ That's why the female character's tits are so big and their out fits so revealing. Also the chief art designer, who apparently also worked on Lineage 2, wanted to go with a more adult feel and look to this new MMO. Hence some of the brutal fighting in the trailer as well. |

Which is why things like UFC fighting, which is watched by millions of adults every day, as well as movies and other TV shows, loaded with brutal violence/action and scantly clad women, sometimes even scenes with women completely nude, get high ratings and mad ticket sales all the time. And games also filled with scantly clad women, violence, and gore become million units or more best sellers??? Ya, people just hate that kind of stuff, especially adults......

i thank you for the links, you proved that the lineage 2 team is behind it. But when you say they are behind it in the title, i like to see some proof in the OP. Otherwise its just heresay. And i didnt say i looked for it, i said that i didnt see any evidence.

To say the team that originally made Lineage 2 is working on Blade and Soul is a flat out lie. The majority of the Original Lineage 2 Team are no longer working at NCSoft. 3 Years ago, while working on Lineage 3 as the Head Developer, Yong-Hyun Park (the Chief Producer, Team Leader, and Lead Programmer of Lineage 2) was pressured out of NCSoft. He was technically fired for "Lack of Leadership". Upon his firing, over 100 of his team members left NCSoft with him, this includes many of the head graphics, programming and design leaders as well. Those that stayed at NCSoft got more or less moved to Aion and other projects. So maybe there are some members of the Lineage 2 team working on Blade and Soul but all the main people are no longer even at NCSoft. They now work at Blue Hole Studios working on TERA.

mm this game remind me a bit of when the main guy in bleach was learning, you know when he goes into his own soul and fight with his bad side when i see the combo system it makes me think of that lol the preview is kind of misleading,parts are cg part are ingame ,witch is witch no a lot cant tell i hope ncsoft publish other ingame only preview to have the exact picture because frankly anybody can make nice cg check warcraftmovies.com its full of very nice cg from amateur making very nice story (rp) |

Then all the tones of sites I've found saying it's being made by the L2 team need to stop saying such things. I do know for sure the lead Art Design dude for Blade & Soul did have allot to do with Lineage 2 though.

The hit points rising from the characters as they take damage would suggest in game graphics, but the designers could of just added that in to make it look that way I suppose. I know what you mean though, I remember back when PS2 first came out and there were all these trailers and screen shots in mags making the graphics for the games look ten times better then they really were. Thankfully it still turned out to be a fantastic system however. Hopefully the Korean beta will start up here in a few months and some of us will get to try it out first hand. The Korean realease is planned for the end of the year, as far as I know. However, NCsoft and Sony made a deal for NCsoft to make games exclusivly for the PS3. Many thought Blade and Soul was the first of these games coming from this deal, because of the game's jaw dropping graphics. But it's not, so far the game is just planned for a PC release. Although the designers have said they would love to do a PS3 port of the game in the future. So to me, if they feel it's worthy of porting to the PS3, then the in game's graphics would be pretty damn good. But, also, PS3 has gotten ports from lesser graphic consoles, like the 360, as well. So, again, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. |
