Yes it's the Moderators fault people think Aventurine is, well I really can't say what people think of Aventurine because the moderators you're so quick to accuse of bias would ban me for being "overly negative."  The truth is the people who did those "awesome write ups" have for the most part moved on to other games. They weren't trolled or bullied away from the forums they were driven out of the game itself. Don't let reality interfere with your ever shrinking little Darkfall clique though. My memory is fine. What you're overlooking is those people are still mostly on the forums. It's just on forums for oither games. They're not posting on the official Darkfall forums even though those are as a big a cesspool as ever. They left the game. The one smart decisiuon Aventurine has made lately is to move their forums to a subscriber only format. Why they didn't do that to begin with is beyond me.

And here we have exhibit A ladies and gentlemen. Like most fans of darkfall if something is wrong, its the fault of the people that dont like it.

Darth if darkfall wasnt such a piece of trash and Aventurine wasnt a company full of 3rd rate scammers there wouldnt be a need for policing of the forums. Trust me Aventurine did this to themselves, theyre barely one step ahead of 3 card monty on the subway.

So let me get this straight.

The trolls WERE worth it from Feb. 08 until 2 weeks into March 09.  In fact they were so worth it that you racked up 2900+ posts in that short time.

But now that the game is in severe need of new players and they are on the eve of launching an NA server... nah... the trolls aren't worth it.  Got it. 

Good thing you clarified that, as some might have MISTAKENLY assumed that the reason you stopped posting shortly after the game went live was the condition of the game itself. 

I would like to see. Even once in years on this forums , that rabbid fanboy (that usually dissapears with no trace aka- changes nick) comes clean and admit he was wrong and appologises to all the people he suckered into buying the game.

You might not need another game but apparently you still need to post here daily to defend a game AV did a "great job" on, instead of happily playing your product. Seriously, you claim MMORPG.COM isn't worthy of DF articles anymore yet you come here everyday and defend the game. Apparently it is worthy enough to you since you're here every day.

I officially think Darth works for AV at this point. He's basically one of the only ones left that keep defending the game at all costs. Just makes you wonder... why is it so important you defend it if you are happy with it? What justification do you need other than your own opinion? I cannot get into it too much because my post would be moderated but Darth is the one that basically said anyone that didn't like DF should get banned from these forums so they could have a peaceful environment. Remind you of a guy... that once said that about ...  you know... in a second war maybe, evil guy...

I played DF, thought it was okay if it was a free product (similar to shadowbane when it went free), and continue to watch the game in case it does go free or is some fun train wreck happens again, like it seems to every few weeks.

I'll take a stab at this thread. If you look at my previous postings, you might have labelled me a fanboi.

And I have written a couple blogs about the game.

In my opinion, Darkfall is a fairly good game. I was very much interested in it since 2008. I even intended to start at the North American Server launch, but then, come Christmas, a member of my family gave me an IOU for a year's subscription to Darkfall when it came out.

I didn't have the heart to tell my son that the launch was delayed, and only released in Europe, So I started on EU-1 with the expectation for a clean transfer to NA-1 when it goes live.

Now to be fair, let me remind you that the game mechanics is pretty good. I had no problem with graphics or PvP.

What I did have a problem with was the following:

1. Aventurine, as a company, just plain sucks. They do not give you details, leaving a lot up to speculation. I was recently stunned to hear about the 3 month wait, with no items, with a transfer charge, policy.

2. Every person ends up with all the same skills, maxxed out. I find this boring. I believe that everyone from the beginning should have the ability to choose, but have limits based on their choices. There is no mage, fighter, archer, etc. There's just a bunch of guys running around in full armor with magic wands, with swords, with bows. I do not find this challenging or interesting.

3. Too much nakedness. If the game reduces you to wearing nothing, simply to be safe, then its not much of a game.

And, therefore, I cancelled my subscription about 3 weeks ago. I'll get a chance to see the expansion, but it doesn't really matter. Aventurine, once again, talks about an expansion but gives very few details. I read the 10-question interview with Claus...not impressed...he leaves more to speculation than specifics.

My friends. There's a lot of good things that could have been said about Darkfall. I'm just not interested in saying them anymore. You can look at my post history to see how my opinion has evolved.

The only thing I'm sorry about is that my son's money got wasted.

By the way, if you're a fan of Darkfall, more power to you. My only advice is to keep working at getting Aventurine to communicate with you.

nope i stop playing cause everyone is ass hats in that games lmao xD not because of the game it self. even i found out open pvp isnt really my style of gameplay.
