After playing all the MW games, giant mechs, battles, weapons, upgrades, etc I mean it spawned at least 4 main games, expansion packs, then the mecg commander series, Im shcked there has never been a real full blown MMO based on this IP.

You can thank EA for that.

Smith and Tinker now have the rights to all of the old Fasa interactive stuff now .

Jordon Weisman started Fasa interactive, he then later went on to sell it to microsoft only to buy back the rights later.

I think they are only doing flash/browser based games :(

This.  Unless S&T decide to sell the rights to someone interested in building an MMO on this franchice i doubt we'll ever see one made.  Shame really, excellent IP and I loved playing the single player games of the 90's based on it.

If they ever do. Then it would bring renewed emphasis on the term 'Heal-Bot"

A Mechwarrior MMO sounds pretty cool, I have to say though the best Mechwarrior of them all was definately the Mechwarrior 2 series (Mercenaries, Ghost Bears Legacy, and 31st Century Combat) . That was before Microsoft baught the mechwarrior franchise from Activision.

Mechwarrior 3 was totally different then Mechwarrior 2, it was far less detailed and the storyline wasnt as deep. It would be pretty interesting though to see a Mechwarrior MMO, its somthing that has never been done before.

I don't really care if it is mechwarrrior I just want to be able to play as my character avatar or in a vehicle, mech or battle car, and have an enjoyable combat experiance in both. (unlike Eve and Auto Assault)
