I've been seeing some deals already to get Win7 upgrades for free with Vista purchase or 50% off if you pre-order and I loved Win7 during first Beta and want to purchase it, but I had to remove it and go back to Vista because Aion at that time didnt run with Win7.  I've kept Vista on my PC for now because I'm playing in the Chinese retail and was wondering if anyone is able to use Win7 with Aion yet?   I'd like to know if there will be problems playing if I upgrade,  I havnt been able to find any updated compatibility info about these two.  Thanks for your advice!!

I have played Aion on Win 7 and it runs great, the only thing I had to do was download a different version of gamegaurd, apparently NCsoft's version does not support Win 7, but if you go to Aionsource.com you can find a link for the gamegaurd fix.

I'm using Win7 on Aion.. and have been since the first NA beta. But only 64 bit Win7 works with Aion last I checked, 32 doesn't work at all. Runs smooth and fine, only problem is the Gamegaurd version... which is easily fixed.

Although this is going a tad off topic, I can't wait till retail for Windows 7.

Just remember the Gameguard fix is only for Win7 64 bits, if you are going to use the Win7 32 bits there is no way to make it work in the NA/EU servers as of now (I don't see why go for 32 bits if 64-bit OS compilant processors are already mainstream).

This compatibility issue should be high on their priority list though, it's like an obstacle for progress.

I haven't really been following much about Win7. What is the primary advantage from a gamer's point of view? Any point in switching to Win7 from Vista?

Windows 7 is 100 times faster and way more responsive than Vista.  Will never touch that crap again...DL and try the RC beta and see for urself!  Looking forward to Win7 release as well!
